Can anyone tell me what’s going on with these light switches?
The one on the left works to an existing light, the one on the right does not work, it goes to a light I’m trying to get to work.

There doesn’t appear to be a ground wire going to either but I see the bundle there. Shouldn’t there be a ground wire going to both? And what do I need to do to make the switch on the right work? Rewire? Replace the switch? Thank you for any suggestions.

Is this a problem?
The main box was installed by my brother in law about 21 years ago. The 2 smaller breakers in there feed an outlet I put in at a pool and I added the other breaker for a couple extra outlets in the house because the main was full.

The 2 pole 70 was recently added by my brother in law. I've been having issues with lights flickering ever since that 70A breaker went in. It's feeding a she-shed that has a couple refrigerators in it, an electric stove top, a window AC unit and some lighting.

Could that 70A breaker be the reason why my lights flicker when I recline my electric recliner back?

And one of the cables from the 70A is a little long. I tried pushing it in a bit so the inner plate goes in straight but I couldn't move it. Well, I probably could have but I didn't want to slip and electrocute myself doing that.

I've added no breakers to the main inside the house. It was a brand new house in 2005.

Also, that burn spot on the left bar has me a little concerned as well. I think I should be worried about that. I called the power company and they came out and checked the transformer and they said everything from the transformer to the meter looks great.

So, I may need to have someone put in a new box for me. I used to do this kind of stuff but I'm older and my hands and fingers aren't what they were. I am afraid I may not tighten something up right. So, is this worth calling a professional out and having them give me an estimate on replacing or fixing this panel box.

How to make half of 3way switch outlet constant hot?
I have an outlet that is controlled by 3way switches. There are 3 sets of wires come to the blue box and one of them goes to the ceiling. How can I get half of this outlet hot all the time? Currently white and black from two 14/3 are pigtailed and the other white and black that is left connected to half of receptacle, then 3rd set of 14/3 which is the ceiling goes to the other half.

I know I need to break the metal between the two side, but wondering where the power going to come from since all the power controls by switch right now.

Ps: the one that is currently disconnected is the one that goes to the ceiling.

Does everything here look correct before I screw down the white wire under the panel? As I took it off the white wire inside the dryer was tightened down to the center hole where it is now, and the panel hole also uses that to get screwed on. Typically I see the white wire get bolted down under the green bolt, but it doesn’t feel very tight no matter how much I tighten it. 2nd photo is what it looked like when I first pulled the panel off. Used dryer. 3 prong. Middle wire is the neutral.

Is it okay to cover this and leave it?
Just moved into a new rental this month and this is the outlet for the stove hood in the above-stove cabinet. The stove hood seems to vent straight up into this cabinet (there’s no actual vent, just a hole in the bottom of the cabinet). The outlet has no cover and I found a bunch of what looks to be flour and a couple leaves in this box, which we removed. The ground wire and the plug has some blue oxidation/corrosion on it (which we removed most of) and seems to be intact, and we got the flour crud off the tines of the plug.

We’ve had to ask the landlords to fix a bajillion things and we JUST had the electrician in to replace a bunch of problematically loose outlets and label the breaker box (which was completely unlabeled), but had forgotten about this.

I’m worried about making them absolutely hate us when we still have a whole year on the lease. Am I okay to put a cover on this and plug the stove hood back in? Im also willing to change the outlet, but don’t have confidence to redo any wires. I won’t use the fan, but we need the light since the kitchen is dark.

Help?

Wrap outlet in electrical tape?
Changing an outlet in kitchen and found the old one wrapped in electrical tape. Is this something I should do on the replacement outlet? This is a horizontal outlet on kitchen island if it makes a difference.
