Vevey Vineyards

Vevey Vineyards Founded in March 2020 by Ryan and Kristin Shopp as a boutique winery, we only produce 25 cases (300 bottles) a year. Where does the name Vevey come from?

Our goal with each "limited edition" vintage is personally taking extra attention and care from the vineyard to the bottle. About Vevey Vineyards,
Founded in March 2020 by Ryan and Kristin Shopp as a boutique winery, we only produce 25 cases (300 bottles) a year. Vevey in Latin means “alive.” This is precisely how we felt when living in the small town of Vevey, Switzerland back in 2014. Vevey is

nestled in the terraced vineyards of the Lavaux wine region overlooking Lake Geneva and the Swiss-French Alps. Home to the Fete De Vignerons Winegrowers’ Festival since 1797, its wine tradition runs deep but is relatively unknown to those outside of Switzerland. It was while enjoying this stunning setting that we pledged to build a vineyard to produce fine wines that will share this life with others.

Excited to announce the release of our 3rd edition from Vevey Vineyards! A Zinfandel-dominated wine that blends in Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot & Petite Sirah that is very lively and approachable with a subtle bouquet that, on first sip, bursts with strawberry and blackberry flavors, complemented with the spice of black peppercorns, before being surprised with a dried cranberry finish.

Here are the tasting notes for the 2022 Zinfandel.
A Zinfandel-dominated wine that blends in Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot & Petite Sirah to round out the structure and flavor profile. A red fruit-driven wine, you will sense bing cherry, raspberry, and cranberry. Baking spices and almost a cola flavor with a hint of sweetness balanced those red fruits before a long structured mineral finish. We recommend pairing it with beef dishes like ribeye and burgers with decent fat content to stand up to the layers of flavors and finish.
