May is live music for mental health at Mike Hess Brewing Walnut Creek! Come out and help us end May on a lively and charitable note.

When you upgrade your beer to a "charity beer" for $1 more, Mike Loar, the entire staff, and Mike Hess Brewing will each match YOUR contribution to support Music for Mental Health. That's $3 donated for every $1 you donate.

Music for Mental Health is going strong at Mike Hess Brewing Walnut Creek!

Music for Mental Health is a nonprofit using the power of music to support mental wellness. Through donations and concert proceeds, they fund programs and centers that provide vital mental health resources, healing, and community support.

In case you missed it, here is what's happening in May:

🎶 TRIPLE THE MUSIC:
Three times the amount of live music events all month! Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

💵🍻 TRIPLE THE CHARITY MATCHING:
When you upgrade your beer to a “charity beer” for $1 more, Mike Loar, the entire staff, AND Mike Hess Brewing will each match YOUR contribution to support Music for Mental Health.

Let's make a difference in our local community and have fun along the way! It's time to raise a glass (and some funds!) together.

THANK YOU for helping us with our mission to bring people together over great beer around great causes.

Here comes "Music for Mental Health" Month, and Mike Hess Brewing-Walnut Creek is all over it. We will have 3 times the music that we normally have and couldn't be prouder to bring this to our local community for FREE. We love our neighbors, community, musicians, regulars, and MFMH, so let's GO! Here's the lineup in May:
Thurs, 5/1 at 5pm: Delta Deuce with their awesome versions of Classic Rock
Sat, 5/3 at 4pm: Music for Mental Health kick-off party all day with American Idol semi-finalist Maddy Hudson playing at 4pm
Sun, 5/4 all day: HAIN Rescue Fund day's "Barks & Brews"! Fundraiser for adoptable dogs and The Souvenirs playing live at 4pm
Thurs, 5/8 at 5pm: Ali & the Crisis live! A great set list of your favorite covers across all genres.
Sat, 5/10 at 4pm: Sisters with a Twist! A slice of Americana to make the middle of your weekend super-groovy and happy
Sun, 5/11 at 2pm (Mother's Day): Brunch and flowers are great for Mother's Day, but if your mom likes to ROCK, come to Hess!!
Thurs, 5/15 at 5pm: Skylaark!! Michelle Moyer and crew will get your motor moving! Some of the funnest and most-engaging cover bands we have!
Sat, 5/17 at 5pm: John Paul Hodge live! JPH is a classic throwback to bar room rock. Almost like a blend of Cash, Everlast, and Thorogood.
Sun, 5/17 at 4pm: Hazy Operation live. Sean Brennan & crew are masters at finding those covers lost in the back of your mind and crush them.
Thurs, 5/22 at 5pm: Tamsen Donner Band. Their full-band bluesy renditions of the songs we all love is classic! Lucky to have them!
Sat., 5/24 at 5pm: Second Wave live. Covers and originals across all genres and we're stoked to bring them in for 1st-timers at Hess!
Sun., 5/25 at 4pm: Ricky Gamez Trio. There's not enough we can say about this. This will be Ricky's final show at Hess and he will simply blow your mind (and ears). A must-attend.
Thurs, 5/29 at 5pm: JoAnne & Kyle: These two kill it! A multi-band night to entice your anticipation of the upcoming Summer. Talent level is off the charts!
Sat., 5/31 at 5pm: Westerly!! One of the most talented bands we've ever booked, in conjunction with a mountain biking event and trail-building fundraiser. Amazing way to cap off an amazing month of May!
Love to all, love to the community!
