Lilly and I love finding delicious foods to share with you, and the butter we source from Happy Cow Farm in Pelzer, South Carolina, is one of those finds!

It’s so creamy and flavorful—the kind of butter that deserves a spot on warm toast, melts beautifully over vegetables, and makes a baked potato something to look forward to. Sometimes simple really is perfect. 💛

Available in one-pound blocks, salted or unsalted, it’s wonderful for everyday cooking, baking, or simply enjoying on a warm biscuit.

🍫 Love cannoli cream? Wait until you try this!

Today is National Dessert Day, and I want to introduce you to a sweet treat you might not expect to find at our table: our chocolate chip dessert cheese!

Made with Havarti, cream cheese, and tons of chocolate chips, it tastes similar to cannoli cream, but it’s thicker and spreadable. If you’re wondering how cheese fits into dessert, one taste will explain it! 😋

Spread it on a graham cracker, serve it with strawberries, or enjoy a little spoonful just as it is. It’s also a fun addition to a cheese board when you want something sweet alongside the savory.

🌱 Life on the Farm: Us versus the little buggers! 🐛

We’re growing vegetables for your table, but the armyworms seem to think we planted a buffet just for them!

They’re helping themselves to our broccoli, bok choy, green beans, tomatoes, napa cabbage, cauliflower, and kale. These two photos tell the story: damage on the front of a broccoli leaf, then a peek underneath reveals the hungry culprits! 😬

This is part of life as a certified organic farmer. We can’t simply reach for conventional pesticides to manage these buggers. How we protect our crops matters just as much as how we grow them.

So we scout our fields every day, checking plants, turning over leaves, and squashing as many armyworms as we can before they do more damage.

It’s hands-on work—dirty hands, squashed bugs, and plenty of determination! We’ve put too much care into these vegetables to let the bugs have them all. 💚

Tomorrow’s Summerville Farmers Market has been cancelled because of the heavy rain, but we’ll be in our usual spots from 8 AM–1 PM, ready for you!

🚗 Pull right up to our booth, and we’ll bring your order to your car so you can stay dry.
