🐕 Meet Max

Greeting from Blue Sky Sunny Day Organic Farm located here in Walterboro.

While everyone notices the vegetables, chickens, and sheep, there is another important member of the farm team—Max.

Max is our Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix and takes his job very seriously. His days are spent keeping an eye on the farm, checking on the animals, and making sure everything is as it should be. His nights are often spent listening for anything that doesn't belong.

When he's not working, you'll usually find him stretched out in the shade, keeping watch from a comfortable spot.

Life on a farm is about more than growing food. It's about the animals, the people, and the daily routines that make it all possible. We're grateful to have Max as part of our farm family.

🐔 Why Our Pasture-Raised Chicken Tastes Different

Our chickens spend their days outdoors on pasture, scratching, pecking, chasing bugs, and enjoying fresh air and sunshine. They are raised on certified organic pasture and fed certified organic feed, allowing them to grow the way nature intended.

Many of our customers tell us they can taste the difference immediately. Better flavor, firmer texture, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing where your food comes from.

We have a variety of chicken cuts available this week, including whole chickens, boneless breasts, thighs, drumsticks, wings, and more.

Life on our cetified organic farm located here in Walterboro is never boring! 🐾

We spent good money filling this tub with potting soil for our plants... and apparently our puppy decided it made the perfect bed for an afternoon nap. 😊

While we see a tub of soil, he sees a cool, comfortable place to relax after a busy morning of farm supervision.

One of the joys of farm life is that the animals are always finding new ways to make us smile.

Anyone else have a pet that prefers the strangest places for a nap?

One of the true tastes of summer has arrived — our Certified Organic Texas Sweet Onions are now being harvested!

These onions are known for their mild, sweet flavor and incredible versatility in the kitchen. Slice them onto burgers, add them to salads, sauté them with fresh vegetables, grill them alongside your favorite meats, or enjoy them raw on a summer sandwich.

Unlike many store-bought onions that have traveled hundreds or even thousands of miles, our onions are harvested fresh from the field and brought directly to our customers.

Tomato season is here, and we are picking beautiful Certified Organic tomatoes every day!

We currently have both slicing tomatoes and sweet cherry tomatoes coming in from the field. There is nothing quite like the taste of a vine-ripened tomato picked at the peak of freshness.
