Up next, our 2026 peony order! We currently have 70 plants and plan to add 100 more. We had a complete crop failure of last years 50 new peony plants. We aren’t sure what happened, but have a suspicion that it was due to the weird winter we had.

Here’s to all the new ones making it!!

We will have extra festiva maximas in October if anyone would like to purchase bare roots. $20 per root.

Although it’s 110° outside still. I’m gearing up for spring!!!

First on list, are our tried and true ranunculus!!
Our spring favorites!!

These get planted in late October, early November to put on growth early and overwinter to be ready for spring!

This years lineup is slightly different than last year.

Chamallow- these are very popular color with their big fluffy blooms and light airy color!

Violet- I don’t know why I haven’t thought of adding purple to the blooms until but it’s never too late!! I’m hoping to get different shades of purple but these are going to be amazing with the lighter colors!!

Labelle Ch*****ne- hues of golden and soft pinks, a mixture of vibrant and bicolor blooms.

I can’t wait to see them all blooming in the tunnel!!

It’s been awhile since I have posted anything.

Summer flowers are more of a custom order type deal for us and not as big as spring flowers.

We partnered with Whimsy MHK this year to help with the bid day boxes. 150 bud vases were put together on Tuesday to head out to rush day on Thursday!! We are excited to bring these bright and cheery arrangements to celebrate a new chapter for these K-State girls!!

I will have some bundles set out at the table tomorrow morning!

I mentored a senior this summer for her exit project. She chose to grow a sunflower field. From w**ding, tilling, and planting seed by seed, and watering. Through the strong storm season, and never ending rain, I am so proud of her hard work and determination to bring these gorgeous flowers to harvest!!!

Speaking of harvest, if you are looking for some Kansas sunshine, a mix of these beauties are $20!!

Flooding in the tunnel was not on our bingo card but we just go with what we got.

After Steve so nicely pulled all the ranunculus and w**ds out alone, I helped drag the fabric out to clean so we can till, reset the fabric and get ready for summer annual planting!!! This is our first year laying fabric down and while it has been hard work, burning the holes, planting in the holes, and w**ding, it is sooo much better then what we have been doing. This spring was over the top successful and I know part of that success was due to w**d control!!!

Coming up next! Giant zinnias, varieties of sunflowers, cosmos, and late August, Lisianthus.

Spring flowers are done for the year!

Summer annuals will start to bloom in July, August! Keep an eye on us if you are interested in summer goods!!

A huge thank you to all our customers this spring!! I told myself, no more peonies this fall but who am I kidding? I have a couple varieties in mind that I am looking at for a bulk order. I’ll be advertising a root sale sometime in the near future!!
