Vander Groef Family Farms VanderGroef Family Farms was founded by Jeff Van der Groef , in 1986. The milking herd now has a Rolling Herd Average of 25,000 lbs.

It all started out as 7 cows, and now has grown to 100 head milking with another 100 plus replacements.

You can see we are planting into rye stubble here. This is called no-till planting. It can be better for the soil and it also means less passes over the ground with machinery. It’s not feasible in all our fields, but we try to utilize this method of planting and caring for the ground when we can.

We’ve got some PORK sausage in the store to try out. There is plain ground pork, maple sausage, and country style sausage. You can make your own breakfast sausage patties or mix it in with your ground beef for a different flavor and texture! We think it’s delicious- let us know what you think!! 🐖 🥓
