If you have any interest in astronomy our local astronomer Brian Deis, the administrator of the Sussex County Astronomy Club and owner of the largest telescope in Sussex County (a 22 inch that can see back over a billion light years) will be giving a one hour lecture/talk this afternoon at 1pm at Lusscroft Farms. There is a $5 donation at the door. I will be there. If you decide to attend because of this post I will refund your $5 or give you a pound of my ground beef ($8 value).
At Jon’s Farm our focus is on raising healthy animals. We use no antibiotics, pesticides or herbicides. All of the beef in our freezers is from cows that were born on our farm.

We harvested our specialty pumpkins yesterday. These are Long Island Cheese Pumpkins. I don’t know where the name comes from but I do know that these are noted for the quality of the pumpkin pies that they make. Our largest last year was 29 pounds and my wife made 10 pumpkin pies with it. The pumpkins are $1 per pound.
We are a meat producer primarily. We use no antibiotics, no pesticides and no herbicides. We produce beef, pork and chicken. All of the beef in our store is from cows that were born on our farm. I bought 24 cows in 2022 and haven’t bought another one since then. Our grandchildren eat our food.
Hope to see you on the farm! Our farm store will be open this weekend from 9am-5pm.
