HAPPY NATIONAL APPLE DAY 🍎🍏

How high can your apple go?

One of the crew went for a hike a couple weeks ago and thought the perfect snack to take was a Cosmic Crisp (from Green Acre Farms)! She enjoyed this delicious apple at 6,000 ft while overlooking this beautiful view of Rimrock Lake!

As apple harvest is nearing the end of the season, we encourage you to grab your favorite apple when you need a snack on the go!

We thought it would be fun to include everyone. We would love to see where your favorite apple snack goes.

Yesterday we have come to the close of our Hop Harvest 2024. The last few days have been a whirlwind as a fire broke out Sunday evening at our main hop facility and quickly consumed our baling room, full of hops. Thankfully and most importantly, no one was hurt.

We would like to thank our amazing employees who were first on the scene, doing all that they could to help before the fire department arrived. The fire stations in the lower valley that responded deserve a huge thank you for all that they did to fight the fire and prevent it from spreading much further.

We are thankful to our staff and hop managers who were able to quickly put together a game plan to get us up and running at our Campbell facility and picking hops again within 24 hours.

We want to thank the number of friends and family farmers who reached out to offer help and support, including our neighboring farmers, Perrault Farms Inc, to whom we are especially grateful. offered their picking facilities and helped us with picking and processing our hops to finish our hop harvest. To the Perrault family, we thank you again for all of your help and support. It is truly a blessing to live in a community of families in this valley who reach out and help in the most challenging times. Family farmers have each other’s backs.

2024 will be a memorable year for its challenges but it will also be one that we will remember for the kindness and support of our farming community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Today was the last of harvesting grapes. The variety is Cabernet Sauvignon and will be heading to in Carlton Oregon. While not many acres in our vineyard side of the farm, we are happy to be able to have a this crop on our diverse farm.

The calm before the harvest. Next week we will begin to pick the rest of our orchard side of the season, starting with Bartletts. Eventually will get into the apples as well, and then end of August or beginning of September we will be picking hops! Got a lot to pick.

Happy Independence Day! Today is our last day of cherry harvest, and it’s been a very plentiful crop. We are reminded everyday of what was fought for; we remember that among the people that fought, were farmers. We have a lot to appreciate in this country, and we owe a lot to those that fought to keep our freedoms. We wish for everyone to have a happy 4th, to eat good food, drink hoppy drinks, enjoy the fireworks and be safe.
