More sampling! 🧪 We’re committed to testing every field cutting so you can have confidence in what you’re purchasing and feeding to your animals. This also helps us learn about our hay, decipher which quality grade it fits into, and keep good records on what’s happening nutritionally through the season.

For each cutting, we pull core samples from around 15 to 20 random bales across the field. These get pooled together. This gives us a representative average sample of the full field harvest rather than relying on just one bale or one small area. The sample is then sent off to an NFTA certified laboratory to be tested. 🔬

Because every field and every cutting can be different, we believe it’s important information to have. Quality forage, accurate testing, and peace of mind…that’s what we strive to provide with every load of hay we sell. 🌾

Not our prettiest stuff, but it happens…field F40 got a touch of rain just after cutting which resulted in some color loss. However, it dried just fine and was put up like normal. If you want some nice feedable hay at a discount and don’t care much about appearances, this is a great option! Available for pick up only, $11 per bale at the stack. We load.
