We are transitioning the business and keeping the fish love alive while we figure out what comes next. This is Brent Robinson and Dianna Garfield Robinson, owners of Seabright Seafood, and we love fish. We love watching healthy runs of salmon charge up streams and waterfalls on the way to undisturbed spawning grounds. We love the way a Chinook salmon looks, jumping out of the glassy ocean at sunset, celebrating the joy of being a salmon. We love catching fish, on rods and reels, in rivers, on the ocean, in lakes. We love trying every lure in the box until we figure out what will work today, then doing it again tomorrow. We love the way a salmon’s silver scales shine, bright and clean and beautiful. We love the taste of that first salmon of the season, smoky from the barbecue and soaked in the flavor of the ocean. The Southeast Alaska Troll Fishery is one of the best-managed fisheries in the world. Each fish is caught on a hook and a line and individually handled by the fisherman. This technique ensures careful catch limit control and eliminates by-catch. We are committed to ensuring healthy salmon stocks sustain for generations to come. We provide fresh, delicious, responsibly caught fish directly from the beautiful waters of Ketchikan, Alaska, to your table. A little about the amazing quality of troll-caught fish: The fish we catch are the highest quality fish available in the market. Unlike net fish, which can sit dead and unrefrigerated for hours before being processed, troll fish are brought into the boat by hand immediately. They are then "bonked and bled", gutted, and placed on ice. This ensures the best possible condition of the meat. Also, the fish themselves remain absolutely beautiful, with scales in tact. Fish like these typically only make it to places like Pikes Place Market and other high visibility, high dollar locations. We are looking to expand their availability to interested individuals and restaurateurs.
