At tonight's Central Arkansas Fermenters meeting we received the award of "Brewer of the Year 2020"!!! The competition was right on our heels throughout the season and we became better for it.
We are truly humbled with this award and will try to continue brewing exceptional beers.
While winning contests are a passion of ours, we really strive on making the highest quality beers that we can make.

Brewers beware.....we are going to double down and make more exceptional brews next year!

PS: I apologise for not holding my side of the sign at equal height 😁

Been brewing....a few🤭
BlueBonnet is fast approaching...and we'd really like to have a repeat performance of last year.
Just finished up another...Irish Red Ale. Kegged five more today, and have them carbonating....plus another her seven in the kegerators that'll need bottling soon(of course the leftovers have to be consumed)!!!

It's a double brewday for us here! That right...we made a Blood Orange NEIPA and a Amber American today. Five gallons of each...got to get ready for the upcoming competition season!

Whatcha all brewing today? And are you ready for when the 'rona goes away 😜

The results have been posted. We couldn't be more pleased. Took a few medals!
Looking forward to seeing the 'scoresheets', as we are planning for more upcoming competitions. Medals are fun to win, but the feedback from judging continues to help us make improvements!

The link will show all the winners...our wins will be shown under "Scott Butler" and co-brewer "Scott Seymour"(just the way entries are allowed...we both do equal amounts of brainstorming and 'work' on brewday).

Well....we made the 15gal batch of Cream Ale(aka: "The Sunday Drive").
Had a few firsts today.
#1: efficiency was wicked high(SG:1.068)instead of the 1.052 it normally comes out at
#2: pumped everything!(WOOHOO...my back thanks me)
#3: didn't use the 200lbs of ice to cool the wort down(thank you ol'man winter for arriving in Arkansas)
#4: didn't get hammered before the mash was done!
#5: didn't take photos :(
(I put a photo of the "spirits of the kegerator and yeast starters spinning up for some added 'bling')

Well....had to look. The barrel has had the American Barleywine in it for three weeks...it went in as a mild 11.2%ABV, but I think there was a great deal of leftover booze(bourbon) remaining in the 15g barrel!
She is solid!!!! Can't wait....but I will for another 2months and 1week

Just a few of the many entries being tested for an upcoming competition ;)

Yeah....it's hard work, but someone has to do it! I hope the dirty glass police aren't looking (and yes, I obtained the glassware from Old Chicago the right way....won it on Bingo night)
