As a small business, one of the most discouraging situations we can face is receiving notice of a dispute from a customer who received their order exactly as agreed.

Recently, we were informed of a dispute filed by a client nearly three weeks after they received their party package. The order was delivered successfully, received without issue, and completed according to the agreement. While we understand that disputes can occasionally happen in the business industry, it's always disappointing when someone attempts to recover funds after services and products have already been provided.

We work incredibly hard to create each order that leaves our kitchen. What many people don't see are the countless hours (and sometimes days) spent planning, shopping, baking, decorating, packaging, and preparing every detail to ensure our customers receive the best experience possible. We truly do our best to make every customer happy.

Thankfully, we maintain thorough documentation for every order, including agreements, communications, photos, and proof of delivery. Because of this, disputes of this nature are unlikely to be successful. We take pride in protecting our business while continuing to provide exceptional service.

What makes this situation even more disappointing is knowing that the individual involved also operates a small business. As fellow business owners, we understand firsthand how important it is to support one another and how damaging chargebacks and false disputes can be.

$100 may not be much to some but to others, every dollar matters. Small businesses are not large corporations with endless resources. When a dispute is filed after products and services have been received, it directly impacts the people behind the business.. the families, the late nights, the hard work, and the passion that goes into every order.

To our loyal customers, repeat clients, and new customers who continue to support us with honesty and kindness: thank you. Your trust, support, referrals, and encouragement mean more than you know. Because of you, we can continue doing what we love.
