Thank you Lord. It's so easy to get discouraged by the weeds, the bugs, or the sun burn. The harvest doesn't come without sewing some time and energy, but when it does it sure is sweet. Enjoying the fruits, veggies, and view in the garden.

5 am rabbit show mornings are a whole production…

Pack the carriers. ✔️
Pack the feed. ✔️
Pack the grooming supplies. ✔️
Pack the kids…don’t forget those either. 😂

Then it’s time for the real work. The 4-H crew gets the rabbits brushed, toenails checked, and poses practiced before heading into the show ring. They put in the effort, learned a little more, had fun, and both even brought home some blue ribbons.

After loading everything back up, we made one final—and very necessary—stop at IHOP. The kids earned a treat, and this pregnant mama’s pancakes were non-negotiable.

A long day, a few ribbons, lots of laughs, and memories we’ll be talking about for years.

The kids had a blast Bruin Bunny Bash yesterday! Ronan brought home a blue ribbon in the costume contest.

Church shoes are hanging on the fence post because they can’t get muddy… but my feet sure can.

When the pasture turns into a swamp, you do what you’ve got to do. Today that meant cutting drainage canals to help move all this water. The shoes stayed clean. Me? Not so much.

Country life isn’t always glamorous, but it sure keeps you humble. 😂🌧️👣

With so much rain in the last couple of weeks the colony and large parts of the pasture are flooded. We’ve moved rabbits into cages temporarily. Getting some side eye as we played rabbit Jenga and arranged cages. Snapped a few photos.

Meet Jason. 🐰 He’s an angora bunny and new to our homestead. Last fall the kids met Shaneh Vuković an amazing fiber artist and rabbitry owner and had fun spinning rabbit wool into yarn. She invited us to today’s crafting event with Oklahoma Angora Guild and the kids had a blast.
