Welcome Bluey & Goldy to the farm 💙✨

Bluey is a stunning Blue Laced Gold Wyandotte, and Goldy is a gorgeous Black Laced Gold Wyandotte hen, and I am already obsessed.

Now the real fun begins… pairing these girls with my Blue Laced Red & Splash Laced Red Wyandotte roosters, diving into color genetics, and tidying up those lace patterns.

I’d say the Wyandottes and the guineas are pretty happy with their new run 🐓 It’s been a long time coming! Now just gotta finish up the hardware cloth and then it’ll be ready for all the extra add-ons 😂

It’s been a rough start to the year between show season, family stuff, losing our dog after 13 years, softball games… all of it. But I’m finally getting back on track. Garden beds are coming together, lettuce, beets, and broccoli are transplanted, and now it’s time to sow the rest and build a few more beds while I get the greenhouse spot prepped.

Been a little MIA lately. Oklahoma’s bipolar weather, being sick, life stresses, and kids’ sports have been keeping me on my toes. But just because it’s been quiet on here doesn’t mean things haven’t been happening behind the scenes.

I managed to snag this old coop for free, and I couldn’t pass it up. She’s a little rough around the edges right now, but with some work she’s going to make the perfect grow-out coop.

Nothing fancy yet… just a good farm project with some potential. Stay tuned for the revamp.

We get asked all the time… why goats?

This. Right here.

Because they’re basically velcro grass puppies. They don’t just live on the farm they live on you. Your lap becomes their favorite spot, your arms their safe place.

They’re not “just livestock.”
They’re best friends with hooves. 💛

She’s deep in that awkward phase right now.. but there’s just something about Boer goats. Some days it’s a love hate kind of thing… but when it comes to loyalty, nothing compares.

Aztec proves it every single day,sticking close like a puppy, never straying, always choosing to follow.

And that sunset behind her? Yeah… it makes it all worth it.

Learning the ropes (literally) and soaking it all in as she gears up for county, regional, and local shows. From snowy sunsets to show rings, this girl’s got places to go and judges to impress. ✨❄️🌅

✨ Project in Progress ✨

We’ve had this fiberglass quonset hut on the property for a few years, and while it’s seen better days, I’m seeing its potential .Instead of building something new, we’re thinking about giving it a makeover and turning it into a greenhouse! A little TLC and some remodeling could transform it into the perfect space to grow, experiment, and bring a little more green to our homestead.

Alright, I need some insight 👀

I’m still pretty new to the Apple ecosystem. I use both Samsung and Apple, but I’m slowly working on becoming what they call an iPad girlie 😅 mostly to help build a better routine and to manage all my farm content on my iPad instead of living on my phone 24/7.

Right now I’m using a 7th gen iPad, with an 11th gen on the way
So my question is…

👉 Do y’all use tablets/iPads for your content creation, or are you strictly phone-based?
👉 What apps do you use for routines, garden planning, planting schedules, notes, or organization?

I’m not looking for Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok apps I already have those. I’m looking for ways to use my iPad as a “mini laptop” on the go, in the field ect, instead of constantly relying on my phone.

For context:
• I have cameras + Lightroom for more pro photos
• I have a GoPro and I’m working on incorporating more video content
• I just want a smoother, more intentional workflow

Drop all your recommendations, workflows, and “iPad girlie” wisdom below I want ALL the input
