Latest update on the farmer - shoulder is continuing to heal. First round of chemo went well. His blood numbers have improved, but the doctor would like to see more improvement, so tomorrow he begins another 7-day round of heavy chemo. His positive attitude and strong will keep him going. He was out trimming trees with the pole saw last week, and enjoying all of his rhododendrons in bloom. Thank you for all of the prayers!

Just to give you an update on the farmer - he had his shoulder replaced just over a month ago. He is healing pretty well from that, and has started physical therapy.

But, the surgery has flared up his cancer again, and beginning Tuesday he will have 7-days straight of heavy chemo. Prayers that the chemo does it's job and the farmer starts to get the pep-in-his-step back.

Our family was talking and we decided we probably should give an update on the farmer (Rod). We know that during the Christmas 2024 season, he let several customers know that he was diagnosed earlier that year, with Acute Onset Leukemia. We had fewer customers this past Christmas season, and we're thinking it's because maybe some assumed the farmer had passed. But, we are happy to say that he is still with us, and in remission (knock on wood.)

He did injure himself this Christmas season, and we want to apologize to any customers that came and could not find the farmer to help them with a tree or a wreath. He had several doctors appointments and trips to urgency care to try and figure out some pain in his leg. He found out that he tore his thigh muscle, and he was having a really tough time getting around. We are also happy to say that he is healing from that and he is now awaiting to have shoulder surgery, hopefully next month.

It's tough getting old and we are thankful for every day that we have! We are also very thankful for all of our loyal and caring customers!

Chestnuts are falling, and it's tough to get them before the deer, squirrels, and raccoons. If you are interesting in coming out to get some, let us know. They are $4/lb this year.
