Apparently, our idea of a vacation is going somewhere else to look at liquor.

We’re down in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee today, checking out distilleries, w**eries, and a few other fun stops along the way! A little sightseeing, a little shopping, and some very important “research.”

Tomorrow we’re headed to Gatlinburg, then we’re off to Kentucky for the end of the week. We’d hate for the bourbon to feel left out.

You can take us out of Ray’s, but good luck getting us past a distillery without one of us saying, “Well… we should probably check that out.”

Here’s a peek at our adventures so far! Spot any of your favorites?

🥃 MONDAY CALLED IN SICK. BOURBON’S COVERING THE SHIFT.

We’re easing into the week with something that tastes like summer and fall accidentally showed up to the same party.

Meet the Peach Bourbon Tea — smooth, a little fruity, lightly sweet, and dangerously easy to throw together after a long Monday.

🍑 PEACH BOURBON TEA
🥃 2 oz bourbon
🍑 ½ oz peach schnapps
🫖 4 oz iced tea
🍋 Squeeze of fresh lemon
🧊 Ice
🍑 Optional: peach slice or lemon wheel

Fill a tall glass with ice, add the bourbon, peach schnapps, and iced tea, then squeeze in a little lemon and give it a stir.

That’s it.

No shaker. No blender. No complicated syrup you were supposed to start making yesterday. 😂

Taste: Smooth bourbon and oak up front, a little juicy peach in the middle, and just enough lemon to keep everything bright instead of overly sweet.

Use unsweetened tea if you like it drier.

Use sweet tea if Monday already tested your patience.

And if you’re drinking it outside in Warrensburg while wearing a sweatshirt you’ll probably regret by 2:00 PM, congratulations, you’ve fully embraced September in the Adirondacks.

Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and grab what you need to give this easy bourbon drink a try tonight.

🍸 FRIDAY HAS ARRIVED, AND IT BROUGHT VODKA. THAT FEELS RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH. 😎

Some drinks are complicated.

Some drinks require fresh herbs, three syrups, and a shaker you swear you own but haven’t seen since 2022.
And then there’s today’s pick: the Cranberry Lime Sparkler — tart, fizzy, ridiculously easy, and exactly the kind of drink that knows it’s Friday and isn’t trying to make you work for it.

🍒 CRANBERRY LIME SPARKLER
🥃 2 oz vodka
🍒 3 oz cranberry juice
🍋 ½ oz fresh lime juice
✨ 2 oz club soda
🧊 Ice
🍋 Optional lime wheel or a few cranberries

Fill a tall glass with ice, add the vodka, cranberry juice, and lime, then top it with club soda.

Give it a stir.

That’s it.

No muddling. No blender. No garnish that requires a trip to the craft store.

Taste: Tart cranberry, bright lime, clean vodka, and enough fizz to keep it light and refreshing instead of sweet and heavy.

Want it a little sweeter? Use lemon-lime soda instead of club soda.

Want it sharper? Add another squeeze of lime.

Want to make it look fancy? Toss a lime wheel in there and suddenly you’re a professional.

It’s also a pretty solid September drink around Warrensburg. Bright enough for a warm afternoon, but just tart enough to feel like fall is starting to knock on the door.

Need a vodka for your Friday glass? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll help you find one ready for the weekend.

🍷 SUNDAY’S DRINK PLAN: OPEN BOTTLE. FIND GLASS. CONSIDER THAT ENOUGH EFFORT.

After a week of muddling, shaking, fizzing, blending, and generally making the kitchen earn its keep, today we’re keeping things beautifully simple.

Meet Diablo Crystal Sauvignon Blanc — the turquoise-labeled bottle that looks like it showed up already knowing it was going to be the easy Sunday choice.

No cocktail recipe today.

No simple syrup.

No garnish that requires you to own a tiny pair of tweezers.
Just get it good and cold, pour it into a glass, and enjoy. 🍇

Sauvignon Blanc is a great pick when you want something crisp, bright, refreshing, and not too heavy — the kind of white w**e that works just as well sitting on the porch as it does next to dinner.

🍽️ What do you put with it?

Think grilled chicken, seafood, salads, lighter pasta dishes, goat cheese, or something with a little spice.
Or, realistically…

Whatever you already planned on making before somebody suggested you “pair the w**e.”

We’re not judging!

This is also the kind of bottle that fits September around Warrensburg pretty perfectly. The sun still says summer, the morning air says fall, and apparently we’re all just expected to dress for both.

So toss the Diablo Crystal Sauvignon Blanc in the fridge, find a comfortable chair, and let Sunday handle itself for a while.

Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and check it out for your next easy w**e night. 🍷

🍎 SATURDAY’S GOT PLANS. MOSTLY INVOLVING A GLASS AND ABSOLUTELY NO ALARM CLOCK. 😎

We’ve made it to that weird September sweet spot where summer hasn’t completely packed up yet, but fall is already standing in the doorway holding an apple c***r and judging your flip-flops.

So today, we’re meeting in the middle with cognac.
Say hello to the Adirondack Apple Fizz — smooth, crisp, a little spicy, and just fall-ish enough without making you dig the sweaters out of storage.

🍏 ADIRONDACK APPLE FIZZ
🥃 2 oz cognac
🍎 3 oz apple c***r
🍋 ½ oz fresh lemon juice
🫚 2 oz ginger ale
🧊 Ice
🍎 Apple slice or cinnamon stick if you want to dress it up

Fill a rocks glass with ice, pour in the cognac, apple c***r, and lemon juice, then top it with ginger ale.
Give it a quick stir.

Done.

No shaker. No fancy syrup. No ingredient that requires a special trip to a store three towns away.

Taste: Crisp apple up front, warm vanilla and spice from the cognac, a little lemon to brighten everything up, and a gingery finish that keeps it refreshing instead of heavy.
Basically, it tastes like fall showed up early but remembered to bring ice.

And if you’re thinking, “I don’t usually drink cognac,” this is a great way to give it a shot without committing to sitting in a leather chair beside a fireplace discussing investments.

Although if you have the leather chair, by all means. Live your best life.

Need a bottle to give it a try? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll help you find a cognac ready for your Saturday glass.

🍷 LABOR DAY HAS ONE RULE: THE PITCHER SHOULD BE DOING MOST OF THE WORK.

It’s Monday, it’s Labor Day, and the unofficial end of summer has arrived whether we agreed to it or not.

So before anybody starts aggressively decorating with pumpkins, we’re giving summer one more lap around the yard with a pitcher of Last-Hurrah White Sangria.

This one is made for the kind of day where people wander in and out, somebody’s running the grill, and nobody wants to stand in the kitchen making individual cocktails all afternoon.

🍑 LAST-HURRAH WHITE SANGRIA
🍾 1 bottle crisp white w**e — Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, or a dry Riesling all work
🍑 ½ cup peach schnapps
🍊 1 orange, sliced
🍎 1 apple, chopped
🍑 1–2 peaches, sliced
✨ 1–2 cups club soda or lemon-lime soda
🧊 Ice for serving

Add the w**e, peach schnapps, and fruit to a pitcher and let it hang out in the fridge for an hour or two if you have time.

When you’re ready to serve, add the bubbles and pour it over ice.

That’s it.
One pitcher. Multiple glasses. Minimal labor.
On Labor Day.

See what we did there? 😎

Taste: Light, fruity, crisp, and refreshing with plenty of fresh peach and citrus flavor. Use club soda if you like it drier, or lemon-lime soda if you want it a little sweeter.

And the best part? The fruit at the bottom of the glass technically counts as a snack.

We are not taking questions on that statement.

Enjoy the long weekend, soak up whatever summer weather Warrensburg decides to give us, and stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg if your Labor Day pitcher needs a bottle or two.

🍍 SEPTEMBER SHOWED UP. RUM SAID, “NOT SO FAST.” 😎
The calendar may have flipped, but we are not emotionally prepared to start pretending every drink needs cinnamon in it yet.

So today we’re keeping one foot firmly planted in summer with a Pineapple Rum Cooler — bright, easy, tropical, and exactly the kind of drink that makes September 1st feel a little less suspicious.

🍍 PINEAPPLE RUM COOLER
🥃 2 oz rum
🍍 3 oz pineapple juice
🍋 ½ oz fresh lime juice
✨ 2 oz club soda or lemon-lime soda
🧊 Plenty of ice

Fill a tall glass with ice, pour in the rum, pineapple juice, and lime, then top it off with your bubbles of choice.
Give it a quick stir and add a pineapple wedge or lime wheel if you want it to look like you put in way more effort than you actually did.

Taste: Sweet pineapple up front, bright lime in the middle, a smooth rum finish, and enough fizz to keep everything light and refreshing.

Basically, summer packed a suitcase, got halfway down the driveway, and then decided it forgot something. 😂

And around Warrensburg, that feels about right. We all know September can be sunny, chilly, rainy, 80 degrees, or somehow all four before dinner.

Need a rum for the glass? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll help you find one ready to keep summer hanging around a little longer.

🍓 W**E GOT BORED AND STARTED MAKING FRIENDS. 🍷

A glass of w**e is great.

A glass of w**e with fruit, bubbles, and absolutely no intention of taking itself seriously? Even better!

Today we’re making a Strawberry Rosé Spritz — light, cold, fruity, and basically built for squeezing every last bit out of summer.

🍓 STRAWBERRY ROSÉ SPRITZ
🍷 4 oz chilled rosé
🍓 2–3 sliced strawberries
🍋 ½ oz fresh lemon juice
✨ 2 oz sparkling water
🧊 Ice

Add the strawberries and lemon juice to a w**e glass and give them a gentle muddle. Fill with ice, pour in the rosé, top with sparkling water, and stir.

That’s it.

No shaker. No complicated ingredients. No need to pretend you own a cocktail bar in your kitchen.

Taste: Crisp rosé, fresh strawberry, a little citrus, and just enough fizz to keep things bright and refreshing.
It’s basically a fruit salad that figured out how to have more fun. 😎

Perfect for the kind of August evening where you sit outside, enjoy the weather, and conveniently forget that in the Adirondacks we’re probably only about six Tuesdays away from scraping frost off something.

Need a rosé for the experiment? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll help you find one that’s ready for spritz duty.

🍉 TEQUILA HAS ENTERED ITS “I BROUGHT FRUIT, SO THIS IS HEALTHY” ERA. 🌵

We could make another margarita.
We could.

But tequila owns more than one outfit, and today we’re letting it wear something a little different.

Meet the Watermelon Tequila Cooler — cold, juicy, citrusy, ridiculously refreshing, and pretty much built for an August afternoon.

🍉 WATERMELON TEQUILA COOLER
🌵 2 oz tequila
🍉 3 oz fresh watermelon juice
🍋 ¾ oz fresh lime juice
🥄 ½ oz simple syrup
💦 Splash of sparkling water

Shake the tequila, watermelon juice, lime, and simple syrup with ice. Pour over fresh ice, top with sparkling water, and toss on a watermelon wedge or lime wheel if you want it to look like you had a plan all along.

Taste: Fresh watermelon and lime up front, a crisp little tequila kick underneath, and enough fizz to keep the whole thing light and dangerously easy to sip.

Basically, it tastes like summer finally decided to stop being humid and contribute something useful. 😎

Bonus Adirondack serving suggestion: drink it somewhere outside, enjoy the sunshine, and pretend the mosquitoes have agreed to a temporary ceasefire.

Need a tequila for the job? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll help you find one that’s ready for watermelon duty.

🍋 GIN CALLED. IT WANTS TO HAVE SOME FUN. 🍸

Gin sometimes gets a reputation for being the “serious” bottle on the shelf.

We disagree.

Today we’re making a Blueberry Gin Smash — bright, fruity, dangerously refreshing, and exactly the kind of drink that makes you wonder why the gin bottle has been sitting untouched since that one cocktail experiment three summers ago. 😂

🫐 BLUEBERRY GIN SMASH

🍸 2 oz gin
🫐 Handful of fresh blueberries
🍋 ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
🥄 ½ oz simple syrup
💦 Splash of club soda

Muddle the blueberries with the lemon juice and simple syrup. Add gin and ice, give it a good shake, strain over fresh ice, then top with a splash of club soda.

Garnish with a few blueberries and a lemon wheel if you’re feeling fancy.

Taste: Fresh berries, bright citrus, crisp gin, and just enough sweetness to keep everybody getting along.

Basically summer in a glass… except summer in the Adirondacks usually also involves mosquitoes, humidity, and somebody yelling because a bear got into the garbage.

This has none of those.

Need a gin for the experiment? Stop into Ray’s Liquor Store in Warrensburg and we’ll get you pointed in the right direction.
