Why is it important to teach your dogs basic training: because if you are walking 200 + lbs of dogs and they decided to pull in different directions it could end up really bad.

So hard to say good bye 😔. Juneau was an amazing LGD, a very smart Great Pyrenees that loved her job and her family. A piece of our hearts went to heaven with her. RIP sweet girl.

Fun facts about drafts: *they are the largest and tallest horses in the world.
*many of them have feathers on their legs (long hairs that grow on the lower leg of the horse).
*they compete in a lot of different events! Driving, halter competition, pleasure driving , and various riding classes.
*they are prone to heat stress. They are made to stand really cold weather. Many draft horses owners install fans in their stalls to keep these gentle giants cool during the summer.

Why do we own LGD’s? Because they are hard working dogs that will protect the herd with their lives. Patty, Kodi, and Juneau won’t allow any other animal in the pasture that doesn’t belong. To include birds of pray (which will gladly eat baby goats).
Great Pyrenees (Pyrenean mountain dog) have great temperaments, are very loyal, and incredibly smart. All LGD’s are know for their capacity to understand a whole sentence as opposed to a one word command. We are lucky to have these three gentle giants!
