We are happy to announce the upcoming arrival of a exciting in utero Oldenburg Verband foal by Lordswood Bernstein (Bonds/Quarterback/Rohdiamont) out of Dresden Hit (Davignport/Karon/Ramino). This foal, due in February, will be one of the first Lordswood Bernstein foals to be born in the United States, making it a unique and highly desirable addition to a dressage or breeding farm.

Dresden was shown in eventing through Intermediate and then was champion in children’s hunters. The mare line for Dresden Hit is particularly noteworthy, as it can be traced directly back to the famous mare, Loretta. Loretta is the dam of several approved stallions, including Sandro Hit, Diamond Hit, and Royal Hit. This impressive lineage ensures that this foal will have the potential to excel in dressage or become a valuable asset to any breeding operation. Forest View is so excited for the Lordswood Bernstein foal that we have due in February!

This is Lordswood Bernstein (Bonds x Sunshine/Quaterback) owned by Jessica Howington-Register and bred by Stephanie Lohmann is now a fully approved AHS stallion. His high-quality basic paces, excellent type, and outstanding temperament instantly catch your attention. He is a model athlete with an excellent neck conformation, great shoulder freedom, a strong back, and a lot of power. The trot
and canter work are always uphill, and his clear walk offers excellent ground cover.

Congratulations to this handsome stallion! Our GOV mare, Replica, will have a foal by Ribaldi in the spring!

Ribaldi now has his lifetime license with the German Oldenburg Verband and the American Hanoverian Society! Its been a fun journey so far with this guy and many thanks to everyone that has helped get him to this point. Special thank you to Cherie Gaebel for all of the hard work that you have put into him and his training and also to Robert Mendoza for doing a fabulous job catch riding him at the test.
We were so impressed with how he handled the atmosphere here. He is a true pleasure to work with and that really showed in his rideability score of 8.5.

The very handsome Revelry FV (Rapture R/Rienzi/Nepal xx) is settling into his beautiful new home with Robin Kelley Stewart. We are so happy she sent these pictures and we can’t wait to see what they will accomplish together! His dam is in foal to Ribaldi for an April foal but we will definitely be repeating the cross with Rapture R after that.

Yesterday Forest View went to the Mid Atlantic Hanoverian Breeders AHS/ARS Inspection at Morven Park. MAHB always runs a great inspection and we had a wonderful time seeing such beautiful and talented horses!

The farm took the first foal out of our Hanoverian Premium Mare Dansant (Dauphin/Ramiro’s Bube/Domingo). The filly, Haute Duchesse FV (E.H. Herzensdieb/Dauphin/Ramiro’s Bube) showed herself off and was named a Gold Medal Foal and also received an Inspection Site Top Foal Ribbon.

The judges said she is beautiful with so much presence and that her movement is light, uphill, and balanced. We are so proud to have bred her and many congratulations to her new owner, Jordan Koepke! Photos by Jordan Koepke Photography

We were reminiscing in the barn about some of our past foals and wanted to spotlight some of the fabulous horses we were lucky enough to have bred. This is Chasing Wonder (Contucci/Diwan/Woermann). His dam was our super sweet elite Hanoverian mare and he was born with presence. He has had a fantastic career with high score championships/reserve championships and gone up the levels through Grand Prix. We are so proud of Chase and all his achievements!

While our beautiful foals by Rapture R, EH Herzensdieb, and Weltmeyer are busy growing up on our hilly pastures I thought I would show you what else we have to look forward to!

Our last foal of the season is due in August and this little one will be worth the wait!

Here is your chance to secure a very special Weser Ems German Riding Pony. This foal should be either palomino or buckskin and will be an eye catcher!

Milky Way is a gorgeous creamello German Riding Pony stallion known for his wonderful temperament and many premium offspring. He is balancing his breeding career while being shown by junior riders.

The dam of this foal, Nina Ricci(Nibelungenheld/Marquis AA) is a beautiful mare that was imported from Germany for her wonderful bloodlines. She is maternal half sister to approved stallion Top Carlos Cassini. She has also had many premium offspring.

We cannot wait to see this special foal that is sure to be a wonderful partner in the show ring. I have included some pictures of Nina and her stunning foal from last year.

We are so proud of this beautiful filly! She is the first foal out of our AHS Premium Mare Dansant (Dauphin/Ramiro’s Bube/Domingo) by the impressive stallion EH Herzensdieb. She is so elegant with a beautiful face and lovely, uphill movement. Her temperament is the absolute best. She is sweet and inquisitive and bred for upper level dressage.

Her dam, Dansant, was bred by Marefield Meadows, had an impressive FEI dressage career, and has been an excellent mother. It feels like spring is coming! We have so enjoyed welcoming this sweet guy. Sired by Hogholm’s Cobra One out of Replica VT (Rienzi x Obey xx) he has impressive hunter bloodlines on both sides of his pedigree. He has a lovely canter and we can’t wait to see him jump!

Exciting news for next spring! Due in late March/early April by Hanoverian approved E.H. Herzensdieb out of our AHS mare Dansant (Dauphin/Ramiro’s Bube/Domingo). E.H. Herzensdieb has an FN breeding value of 142 points (in the top 10% of German dressage sires) and Dansant competed successfully through I1 level dressage so we can’t wait to see how this baby moves!
