Farm Service Announcement:
What you see here is a helium party balloon that has floated away and landed in the pastures. This happens more often than you would think. The problem is not with it as trash but that the animals may inadvertently pick it up and ingest this balloon. A cow has several stomachs and this will not make it through to the other end, it will get caught somewhere in the middle. The cow will become ill and more than likely die. This is a cruel death and the cow will suffer. This is preventable if the balloons are not released into the air.

I know we don’t have a lot of followers, but please forward this to your friends so people can be informed.

With the uncertainty of the times this is a unique and limited time opportunity to show support to Crossed Stars Farm. I would appreciate your support. One aspect of our operation is the utilization of Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGD's) to defend and protect the Natural Low/No Input Sustainable Forage Fed Raised Livestock we are developing on the farm. Back in 2013 We lost massive amounts of Pastured Laying Hens to Wild/Feral/Pet Dogs. We also lost other species of Livestock during that time. It all came in a whirlwind and deeply changed our directions in moving the farm forward. As result we now operate teams of LGD's that live with the Livestock 24/7/365 defending and protecting them as one of their own. We have not had a loss from predators since the LGD's introduction. A good deal of my resources go towards maintaining the LGD's and every penny is worth it as the LGD's are the only reason we can raise and develop the Livestock in our current system. We are increasing our numbers of Livestock thru Generational Breeding so we maintain numerous Herd/Flocks through out the 85 acres which entails LGD's to live with each group. Any support thru this opportunity with We Give A Shirt to sell T-Shirts with the Farm Brand imprinted on them would go along way to helping the LGD's to continue to do their job out here.
