Day 3 of nationals prep rat race done, one more day and then we hit the road 😬 prepping for this long of a haul is no joke but a huge part of the prep for this is having the farm ready for us to leave it for this long. Trailer is cleaned out, loaded and set up for the girls. Camper part cleaned and new bed set up for the kids done. Feed and hay at home is all restocked. Rearranging everything to keep the work load as simple as possible for our sitter while we are gone. My riding horse went to "camp" for while we are gone so she can keep up with the training we've been doing the last couple months. Maintaining the 3x per day milking we started a few weeks ago, and filling so. many. Gatorade water buckets. Tomorrow we have the last minute packing of clothing and food for us. Some stall cleaning. And some grooming and hoof trims for the girls going with us. Ready to get on the road and get there but feeling the pressure on being ready to roll out 🙃

We've been in goat slave mode for the last 3 weeks, but full blown Nationals prep mode starts tomorrow, or I guess today if you notice what time this was posted.... Like I said goat slave mode, that 3x per day milking y'all 😵‍💫 Anyways with birthday party, kids appointments that several months ago me thought would be a good idea this week, work chaos, new for the good changes/adjustments being made at work, one kiddos actual birthday, this week has just not been conducive to starting to widdle away at the packing/prepping to do list. So tomorrow starts serious prep mode. T-4 days until we pull out for a basically south to north cross country adventure to head to the ADGA National Show. The national show nerves are in full swing too! 😬

We have two 2 year old does in milk that we are offering at a discounted rate if picked up this weekend! We are trying to decrease workload as much as possible here for our farm sitter while we are away at nationals.

One is being sold as a brood doe. She has a lot of things we love about her and when paired with the right buck she could make some pretty stellar babies. She herself is just not going to be competitive in the show ring. Milk stand trained, and easy to deal with. $4️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ if picked up before Tuesday 6/23

The other has show doe potential for sure. She needs time to mature but she has a beautiful mammary system and has done well when shown in the past. She is also milk stand trained and easy to handle. Blue eyed. $6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ if picked up before 6/23

Located in Warrior, AL. These are girls I wanted to hang onto a little longer but with the number of 2 year olds I have, someone has to go and if they can leave before we are gone for nationals that would be helpful for our farm sitter.

This picture ❤️ my kids, both the ones I birthed and the one I steel from time to time, showing goats each pictured in the phase of learning showmanship that they are in. My bonus daughter, showing like a pro, I handed her the best 2 year old we brought and she shows her not only to a class win but a grand champion win. My daughter I birthed, becoming more and more attentive showing her goat, wanting to do what she can to make her look her best. My boy, asking to show and wanting to take a goat in the ring, so helping me show now like his sister was doing not too long ago. ❤️ The days are long, but pictures like this are reminders of the benefits that these kids have growing up with all this.

Super proud of our girls yesterday at the Dixie Dairy Classic. We took some a small group of our regular classes show string and several champion challengers for the opportunity to get some of these finished girls clipped up and pretty. Announcement as to why I wanted to do that at the end of this post 😉

Now onto the highlights of the show for us!! In the first ring with judge Matt Syrotiak, GCH Agape's Prize November Rain 1*M won Best of Breed 💛🖤and went onto win Best in Show 💜💛!!! This doe is one that makes you excited to come to the barn everyday. She gets on the stand ready to go to the show everyday. When she stands in the pasture she looks like she's set up for a show. She's just beautiful. Her progeny continue to show the same level of quality and I'm so excited to watch her now four daughters in the herd grow and hit the show ring as milkers.

In this ring, Hidden Treasure Paris Hilton won Grand Champion Senior Doe 💛🖤!! This doe is a 2 year old second freshener with a beautiful mammary, one that will only get better with maturity. Paris has the most random pedigree in the barn but sometimes those out crosses work lol. Paris is now one leg short of finishing her permanent championship.

In ring 2 under Judge Jay Rudolf, GCH Agape's Prize Indian Summer 1*M took the spotlight and won Best of Breed 💛🖤 and BEST IN SHOW 💜💛!! This doe also has a mammary system that makes you excited to go to a show every time she gets on the milk stand. I just wish she would grace me with a doe kid to retain as we are 3 for 3 on all bucks each freshening 🤦

In this ring Hidden Treasure Bonnie Blue 2*M won Reserve Grand Champion 💛🖤 Bonnie is a professional bridesmaid it seems lol 😆

Paris was first in her class in this ring as well and received high praises in the grand line up.

In the buck show, under judge Jay Rudolf, Hidden Treasure SB Dobby was Reserve Grand Champion 💛🖤 and Moon Station AG G-Force was 2nd behind the champion of that ring. The other ring did not go our way 🤦

We haven't been able to show as much this spring so it was fun to be back at a show and enjoy time with some of our goat friends. The reason we haven't shown much is because we are prepping for the BIG ONE this year. So here is the announcement! Hidden Treasure Farm will be making the trip to Massachusetts later this month for the 🌟ADGA NATIONAL SHOw🌟 We will be taking 8 senior does and I look forward to introducing everyone to our national show string over the next couple weeks as we prepare to make the long drive north. Driving 3 days with a trailer full of goats with 2 kids, 2 dogs and 2 adults is probably dumb but we will make memories.... Right? Lol 😆 I will definitely post updates on our adventures as we go. T- 17 days until we pull out for Massachusetts 😎

This is a perfect example as to why I love GCH Wood Bridge Farm CountinBlessings 1*M. Consistency! These 3 does are descendents of Blessings. On the left GCH Agape's Prize November Rain 1*M. On the right, her FF daughter, Hidden Treasure Sweet as Pie. The middle one is GCH Agape's Prize Divinity 2*M. Divinity is the daughter of Blessings. Her littermate sister CH Agape's Prize Praise Be is the dam of November Rain. So fun to watch a strong doe line develop!
