🌈🦄 In Loving Memory of Jersey 🦄🌈
Our hearts are absolutely broken. Yesterday we lost a piece of our family, our farm, and a horse who can never be replaced. Jersey was one of those once-in-a-lifetime horses; the kind you spend your whole life hoping to find and are never truly ready to say goodbye to.
Jersey wasn’t just a horse. He was the horse you could trust 100%. The one you could put your child on and know he would take care of them. The one who seemed to understand exactly what his rider needed. The one that you didn’t have to think while you rode him, and he made everyone feel like they were an amazing rider. He was honest and always had a loving personality.
For so many people, Jersey was a horse of firsts.
The first horse they ever touched.
The first horse they ever rode.
Their first ba****ck ride.
Their first feeling of confidence on the back of a horse.
Jersey was born right here on our farm and was a huge part of our family. Jersey and his mom Jemma traveled with Bryttany throughout her military career and touched more lives along the way than we could ever count. Jersey was supposed to be heading to the fair next week with a young rider who has never shown at a fair before. That was Jersey, still being trusted to give someone another very special first. 💔
There will never be another Jersey.
Our barn feels different without him, and our hearts are incredibly heavy. But we are so thankful to him for showing everyone what a good, honest horse is supposed to be like.
If Jersey were ever part of your story, we would love to hear it. Please share your favorite Jersey memory or post a picture with him in the comments. We would love to see just how many lives our special boy touched.
Rest easy, Jersey. 🌈
Thank you for taking care of all of us for so many years. You were truly one of a kind, and you will forever be part of our family.
