Like many of our endeavors, it all started with an idea...and a truck. I'm a 7th generation farmer. My husband started out in the city but quickly found his place in the farm way of life. We have always looked forward to the day we could use our talents to share our appreciation for nature with others. My grandparents operated a grain farm together for over 65 years. Although she wouldn't trade th
e farm for anything, my grandma would joke that farming would make you rich "when pigs fly." Well, remember the truck? My husband and I purchased a '54 Dodge sight unseen. When we went to pick it up we immediately noticed the painted pig on the door with the name Flying Pig Farm underneath and it all came together. We might never be rich, but we're happy to be able to realize the kind of life we enjoy. It is our pleasure to share our heirloom plants, fresh produce, canned and dried goods, and non-GMO bakery items with you.
