Our Golden Comet pullets started laying at 4 months and are now producing nice sized eggs.

We will have a extra eggs on occasion (unwashed and never refrigerated; egg-aficionados understand the value).

Yesterday, February 11, marked the end of a successful 2023 kidding season. Our barn is filled with cuteness 🥰

Please welcome: (in order of arrival) Nigerian Dwarfs: Donny and Marie, Boers: Sonny and Cher, Brooks and Dunn, & Johnny and June. Yes, our barn theme this year is famous musical talents.

We have one goat family (LaManchas) that we name after trees: Cedar and Cherry are new to our barn as well.

The does did great and all of the kids are doing well. We do have one house kid, June, at the moment. Not entirely unexpected as we knew we would be bottle feeding at some juncture; just not on day one. It seems that Johnny is a bit of a pig!
