This is a hard post for me to make in the middle of flower season, but I need to listen to my body.
For months, my body has been giving me signals that I’ve been pushing too hard and that maintaining the farm at the pace I’ve been keeping isn’t sustainable. In my typical fashion, I’ve pushed through, ignored the aches and exhaustion, and kept showing up with buckets full of beautiful blooms.
But this week, I realized that if I don’t slow down and listen now, my body may eventually force me to take a much longer break.
So, for the foreseeable future, I will not be at the farmers market.
But that does NOT mean the flowers are stopping!
I’ll still be growing, harvesting, and making bouquets—and you can still get your Golden Sky Farm flowers through pre-order for on-farm pickup at goldenskyfarm.com. (you can start ordering today!)
I know this is a change, especially in the middle of summer, and I know some of you will miss seeing me at the market. I’ll miss seeing you, too.
For now, I’m choosing to take a step back so I can take care of myself and keep doing what I love: growing beautiful flowers for you.
So come take a little drive out into the countryside, pick up a bouquet, and say hello to the farm.
Thank you for understanding, supporting my little farm, and continuing to bring Golden Sky Farm flowers into your homes. It means more than you know.
