It’s time to get the garden beds prepped and ready for planting! I like using a broadfork to loosen the soil as it doesn’t disturb the micro-organisms that are beneficial in the soil. Lots of work- but an awesome payout in the end! Only 3 1/2 more rows to do!!

I’m not very fancy with the picture taking/editing thing- but we have a NEW PRODUCT!! This is our all natural non toxic deodorant spray. It will be stocked at Wild River Market located on Ridge Road on the way to Lily Bluff Overlook this weekend. Make sure to stop by- they are open Fridays 2pm-8pm, Saturdays 8am-8pm, and Sundays 8am-2pm.

Been working hard on the farm over the last 3 days! Our old high tunnel was in poor shape so we upgraded it. The new greenhouse is ready to go just in time for spring!!

Time for new laying hens!! We had 56 eggs in the incubator and overnight 11 hatched! More will come over the next several days but the first ones are always soooo fun!

Snail roll update! I am stating my tomatoes and peppers in snail rolls this year. This is a few weeks in and most everything is doing great! The k my thing that didn’t sprout was the onions but I think my seeds may have been old… it was an experiment for me this year as I haven’t ever grown onion from seed. I’ll try again later with new seeds but for now I will probably reuse the roll and start some herbs for the new kitchen herb/tea garden additions!
