67 DAYS UNTIL KICKOFF
Today’s countdown honors Tony Duncan — Class of 1955, who wore #67 for York and was a 4-year football letterman for the Dragons.
Tony played Defensive End and Tight End under Head Coach Tom Sparkman and was also voted Best All Around and Most Co-Operative by his classmates.
A proud Jamestown native, Tony went on to live a life of leadership, service, and success. He attended Tennessee Tech, managed a gas company in Erwin, helped lead the Duncan family business, worked in real estate, opened Save A Lot in Wartburg, and served his communities in public office as Fentress County Judge, Morgan County Executive, and President of Plateau Utility District.
Tony Duncan was more than a Dragon football player — he was a businessman, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and respected public servant.
67 days until kickoff — and today we honor #67.
