🚜 Just another day with Jack... 🐴

Well, I did it.

Slid the mower right into the fence. 😅

I guess when you're usually the one doing the rescuing, eventually it's your turn to be the one needing help.

No major damage.

Just a reminder that farming has a way of keeping you humble.

One minute you're getting work done...

The next you're wondering how you're going to explain what happened. 😂

Thankfully, Jack was there to supervise the whole operation.

Sometimes the rescuer needs rescuing.

Nothing goes to waste around here.

Today we’re screening compost and spreading it on our sorghum-sudan grass fields while getting ready to make this year’s haylage. What started with our cattle comes full circle right back into the soil — building healthier ground, better forage, and a more sustainable farm.

At Potts’, we believe in using every part of the animal with purpose and respect. From the meat in the case to the nutrients going back into the pasture, it all matters. Less waste. Healthier soil. Better farming. Better food.

We may be butchers… but we care a whole lot about the land too.

Evening work at Valley Home Farm.

Bi-annual vaccinations, preg checks, and working cows today. It’s hard work, dirty boots, long hours, and usually a little chaos mixed in… but there’s something rewarding about taking care of the land and the animals God has blessed us with.

Farm life isn’t always easy, but we wouldn’t trade it.

How cool is this?!

Morgan (Chase’s wife) flew over the farm today during a military practice drill in a C130J carrier plane and snapped some photos of our place and the surrounding farms.

After all the rain, everything is GREEN and alive. You don’t always get to see it from this perspective—and man, it’s something special. 🇺🇸🌱

Out here wrapping haylage today and thankful for every minute of it.

There’s something special about working the land, putting in honest work, and seeing the reward of it all. We don’t take this life for granted.

God paints the sky different every night —
and tonight He showed out.

No noise. No rush. Just peace.
Just a reminder that there’s more to life than the grind.
