If you've found your way here, you're either family or friend - happy to have you! I started making hot sauces and jellies in 2015, mostly as a way to find something to do with the peppers I grew in my home garden. As I expanded my recipes, I realized that other people enjoyed the flavors and spices I had created, so I decided to make it official and start selling to the public. You can find my products through my website (www.bigdshotsauce.com), or at any of the craft and vendor fairs I regularly attend in the Southern New England area.

Morning everybody!

I'm all set up back here in Mystic, Connecticut for the second and final day of this year's Apple Festival!

This is my final currently scheduled Connecticut event of 2026, so make sure you swing by to stock up on all your spicy needs.

And if you just are looking for a way to warm yourself up on a crisp New England morning, might I suggest some spicy snacks? 🤣 I will be here with about a hundred other great small businesses and Crafters, plus a dozen food trucks and live music until about 6:00 p.m. tonight, so come say hi!!

Good morning everyone, and welcome back to Mystic Connecticut!

I am all set up here for day one of the 2026 Mystic Apple Festival here at Olde Mistick Shopping Village!

I'm so excited to be back here again for this awesome event, and even though the weather is a little gray to start the morning, things will be clearing up as the day goes on.

We have almost a hundred vendors set up out here along all of the pathways of the village. I am directly across from my normal spot, under the big oak tree facing Kitch, next to the Gazebo

Come on out and check out all of these awesome vendors, all of the great local businesses that are here full-time, as well as a dozen food trucks, live music, and don't forget to say hi to the ducks!!

Festival runs from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. today, and again on Sunday. Hope you can make it out to say hi!

Hey there everyone!

FINAL REMINDER - My outdoor festival season might be slowly coming to an end, but not before one of my favorite events of the year - this weekend, I'll be returning to Connecticut for the final (currently scheduled) time in 2026, as I setup with about 100 awesome vendors and food trucks at Olde Mistick Village for the 5th Annual Mystic Apple Festival!

This weekend - Saturday & Sunday, October 17th and 18th from 11a to 6p each day - I'll be returning to the Olde Mistick Village Shopping Center to setup at the Gazebo for one of the most fun events of the fall, as we line the walking paths with vendors, food trucks and tables, live music, fun activities, and everything that makes the fall festival season so great!

Olde Mistick Village already has dozens of awesome local small businesses with a permanent home there, and they open their doors to about a hundred more for this weekend to join them! It's always a great couple days, but it does get busy - follow the event link below, make your plans to come out early so you can see everything the event has to offer, and don't forget to come by my booth for your spicy snacks!

GARDEN 2026!

Wednesday marked the final full garden pick of 2026, as the weather forecast for the next week or so is definitely not pepper friendly. 😭

Yes, with forecast overnight lows in my area potentially dropping into the high 20s or at least low 30s for the better part of the next 3 nights, even tarping the garden for a week probablywon't be enough to keep these plants going, so the final pick and garden shut down is going to be a couple weeks early this year.

It was a very short growing season in 2026, but hopefully there's enough in the long-storage freezer (among other ingredients) to get me through until July of 2027, when I expect to start picking the first peppers next year

I used to overwinter plants if they were really good producers, or harder to grow, but since I got a much better grow tent setup and have increased my seed germination to nearly 85% every year, I'll just spend a few hours a day over the next week or so pulling all of the plants. Any pods left on the plants that aren't fully ripe will head to the dehydrator to become a super hot powder mix.

It's onto the offseason for the garden, but I'm already planning out the numbers for next year's seed starters!

And remember - you can get the same seeds I plant from directly from me at the website below! Take a look, and check back throughout the winter as this year's hybrid plants start getting portioned out for planting and sale in 2027!

Hey there everybody!

If you can't get out to Mystic Connecticut this weekend, you'll get two chances to come find me next weekend, both in Massachusetts, as I return to two more great outdoor markets!

First, on Saturday October 24th from 9a - 1p, I'll be making my final appearance of 2026 at the Attleboro Farmer's Market at LaSalette Shrine in Attleboro MA!

Not only is this my final appearance at the AFM for 2026, it's their final market of the year as well, so you know we'll be blowing it out to send the season out in style! Dozens of great local vendors and crafters, food trucks, activities and more!

Then on Sunday, October 25th from 11a-5p I'll be returning back to Boston for the weekly SoWa Open Market, in the lot at 500 Harrison St in Boston! I've had a great time joining these guys all summer long, and I'm happy I have a couple more opportunities to come up to Boston, see all my new friends, and join nearly 80 awesome local creators, makers, vendors, and crafters - plus a handful of food trucks, live music, and more!

This week, we'll be joined by Widowmaker Brewing Co for all the frosty adult beverages, and there will be a Halloween Costume Contest as well! Check out the event page below, and make your plans to come spend the afternoon in Boston with all of us!

You guys... THEY'RE BACK!

2026 SEASONAL PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT!

That's right everybody - the hottest product in my lineup, "Candied Khangs" are back on the shelves!

After their incredibly popular (and brief) debut run in 2025, I made sure to plant 80+ of these peppers in 2026, and the garden has not disappointed!

I was able to get the first batch jarred up a few weeks ago, so they've been brining long enough to let the sweetness in, and draw even more heat out...

These will officially debut this coming weekend in Mystic, Connecticut at the 2026 Apple Festival, and then I will have a limited supply on the shelves at every event for the rest of the year, or until they sell out. Also, pending event sales and additional production, they *might* be available to purchase online with shipping before the holiday season ramps up.

So if you have a spice lover in your life that can never get anything hot enough, pick up a jar of this and see how they feel after trying some... 🥵

Good morning everyone, and welcome to Onset Beach!

I am all set up and ready to go here for today's (rescheduled) 2026 Harvest Moon Festival. We had to move this event from the nor'easter a couple weeks ago, but luckily nearly everyone was able to adjust their schedules.

I got a pretty great sunrise here setting up early this morning. The views from the pier are fantastic, and that's where the car show will be set up today.

We have a half dozen food trucks, nearly 70 vendors, an amazing classic car show, a petting zoo for the kids, and more!

You can find my tent at the top of the hill, facing away from the pier, among one side of vendor row. The event is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but most vendors will be set up well before that.

So come on down to Onset, take in the sights and sounds, and don't forget to grab yourself a spicy snack!

Good morning everyone, and welcome back to Mayflower Brewing for the FINAL Plymouth Punk Rock Market at this venue - and it's the Halloween edition!

It's a bittersweet day for a lot of us here at Mayflower; many of us were here for the first ever PPRM just a few years ago right here at this same venue, so it's kind of fitting that so many of us are able to make it back for the final market at Mayflower as well.

The Plymouth Punk Rock Market isn't going anywhere - it will continue on as strong as ever, at plenty of new locations around Southern MA. But for one day today, come on out to support not only the folks at Mayflower, but also more than five dozen amazing local vendors and artisans with some of the coolest, most unique stuff you'll find anywhere!

And if you're so inclined... there will be a costume contest later this afternoon, and many vendors will have some early Halloween snacks for the kiddos!

We're here from noon to 5 today, so come on out to say hey, and grab yourself some spicy snacks!

Hey there everybody!

FINAL REMINDER - my Autumn event season is in full swing, and you've got two more chances to find me on the road this weekend as I hit the highway once again for two great days in Eastern MA!

First up - tomorrow, Saturday October 10th from Noon-5p - I am (FINALLY) returning to join my friends at the Halloween version of the Plymouth Punk Rock Market - this time at Mayflower Brewing in Plymouth MA! This will be the FINAL Punk Rock Market at Mayflower, as this location is sadly closing operations later this year :(

I have missed this group, as another PPRM event earlier this year had to be cancelled due to a different venue closing, and I haven't been able to make it back since! You know I'll be bringing the heat for this group, and can't wait to see everyone again - not to mention the live music, the food trucks, the costume contest and of course the tasty Mayflower beverages!

Then, on Sunday, October 11th from 10a to 4p I'll be heading right back down towards The Cape for the (rescheduled) 2026 Onset Harvest Moon Festival!

We had to change things around for this event after the big nor'easter a couple weeks back, but we're still expecting 100+ vendors, food trucks, a great classic car show, and so much more right on the hill at Onset Beach!
