Dean Street Taco Chips is a specialty food company producing taco chips in four flavors: Sea Salt, Multigrain, Rice & Bean, and Chili Lime. While we are very proud (and perhaps a bit biased), every outside, objective source—industry brokers, buyers, and consumer focus groups—have agreed: Dean Street Taco Chips are a differentiated, delicious, healthy, and perfect for today’s consumer. A unique and well-developed proprietary recipe and manufacturing process accounts for the outstanding flavor, taste, and texture profile, as well as a “clean label” consumers are increasingly seeking out.
Sales of healthy snacks in the United States exceeded $25 billion in 2018, and future growth is expected to outpace that of all other food groups such that sales are expected to reach $29 billion by 2022. Today’s consumers demand healthy and delicious options in the salty snack category. Dean Street Taco Chips, manufactured in Pennsylvania, can boast of being vegan, gluten-free, cholesterol free, and kosher. They also have zero grams trans fat and are made with non-GMO corn, so they meet just about every special dietary criteria being written and talked about in food-industry, healthcare and consumers media today. These delicious chips could also be classified as low-sodium, if that weren’t something consumers no longer gravitate toward.
Distribution of the trademark product currently takes place via direct shipment from the production plants to large retailers and direct store delivery (DSD) from redistributors via route vans.
Founder and owner Dean Lynch has a well-documented history of building, growing and managing successful businesses, including: several acclaimed restaurants in greater Boston; as a partner with Boston Market in that brand’s early days; as Blockbuster Video franchisee; and also as owner of the largest distribution company for Cape Cod Potato Chips.
