When I'm out feeding my critters, I tend to get deep in thought. Tonight, I found myself thinking about happiness. You know, it really doesn't take much to make me happy. Little moments come and go throughout the day, so many things that make me smile. But as I thought about it, I realized happiness often lasts only for a moment.
That's why I'm so thankful that I don't just have happiness in my life, I have joy.
What gives me joy?
First and foremost, my relationship with Jesus. I accepted Him into my heart as a child, and I'm so thankful to still be His child today. Praising God through singing and spending time in His Word fills my heart with joy.
Second, my husband, daughter, and family. I love my sweet family more than words can express. Watching my daughter smile, laugh, and always enjoying life gives me so much joy.
Another reason is spending time with my family. The moments I share with my mom, dad, siblings, and extended family are treasures I will always hold close to my heart.
I also find joy in raising animals. If you know me, you know I'm a huge animal lover. I truly enjoy caring for my animals, and baby season on the farm is always my favorite time of year.
I find joy in growing flowers and nurturing plants. Thereโs something incredibly rewarding about planting a tiny seed and watching it grow into something beautiful. Iโve even been told I have a green thumb!
My church is another source of great joy. I absolutely adore my church family, and I've never felt more at home anywhere than at Mulberry Gap. That's my church, and I love it! โค๏ธ
And then there's my career. I try my best to go above and beyond because the youth I work with mean so much to me. I love being there for them and providing as many opportunities as I can. They bring me more joy than they'll ever know, and I hope I can always be a positive influence in their lives.
I could go on and on with reasons why I'm joyful, but I'll stop there. Tonight, I'm simply feeling thankfulโfor my faith, my family, my friends, and all the blessings God has placed in my life. โค๏ธ
