A glass of wine and a snack is about to become my new personality. 😅
A quick side quest through NYC’s Chinatown and Lower East Side wine bars while I was there for the Webby’s:
Loaded (salty!) chips at .nextdoor
Chorizo empanada at
Marinated olives at
Next time I’ll do better at picking a thoughtful pairing. Not one glass I picked went with the snack I had, but still had a great time.

Kicking off 44 in my favorite city with my favorite pairing (so far): chicken and sausage jambalaya and La Cuvée.

Started off with a crab au gratin that I inhaled before I could even remember to take a pic. 😅 10/10. Would definitely recommend.

“Why Portland?” A photo essay

What a gift to spend Valentine’s Day with at .
He poured into us and fed us. Not just the delicious wine ( was my fave and - a sparkling Albariño - is coming home with me) and the Haitian food (the cornbread and sparkling Pinot Gris is the best pairing I’ve had in a long time). But his story, his winemaking philosophy (“Don’t f**k it up”), the gems he dropped (be yourself, follow your passion), and the tasting room vibes…the personification of self love and legacy 👌🏽.
