I tried to paint a Kamala silhouette and ended up with Big Foot in Heels. I am a novice painter that has fully mastered cute flowers and the occasional atomic cat on the damaged leather bags I rehab. I had a purse that reminded me of the squares on the front cover of Time that depicted Kamala Harris striding into frame. I wanted to recreate it and failed spectacularly. I don’t think there is any fixing it. At this point, maybe I just embrace the Big Foot in heels.

Baby Birk 💕 sewed her myself This was sold as a kit to make your own keychain or bag charm, but it’s honestly big enough to throw some cash, cards, or a lip gloss into. I’ve seen some dog p**p bag holders advertised as “barkins” and I can’t say this won’t end up becoming a barkin for my dogs lol

This is a popsewing kit and after completing it pretty easily I’m now delusional enough to think I could make a full size bag. My leather craftsmanship is not impressive by any means but I’ve been cross stitching almost daily for a decade now so my needle and thread handling skills are pretty advanced.

What should I use this for? Should I try a full size kit?

Couldn’t afford a Prada printed Saffiano bag so I painted my own
Based on the Periwinkle Prada Galleria printed Saffiano Leather bag (that I’ve been obsessed with since I saw it)! I know the paint used is a little more blue than theirs but it was a great learning opportunity and I had a lot of fun recreating the pattern :)

My husband turned our inside joke into a custom bag as a 10th anniversary
A few months ago my husband and I started joking about how we would never buy a Hermés bag bc of how expensive they are and how many hoops you’d have to jump through and how if we had our own line of handbags they’d be Hermes Conrad (of Futurama) originals. We joked about for a week or so and then I never thought about it again.

Lo and behold, today he told me he was going out for a coffee with an MBA alum and returned home with this.

I made my first handbag! The other day I posted about Babylon Leather and their purse making kits. Decided to try out the Kelly medium bag in orange with gold hardware and I'm in love! Definitely was a challenge with the tiny oblique holes sometimes but super easy to learn, 10/10 would make more! 🧡

I made this! I just finished this gorgeous bag! It’s my Orion design in 19cm. It’s made from Aubergine and Anemone Swift leather (smooth calf). I have been absolutely loving this color combination recently and with falling full swing it’s even better.

Half way through chemo gift from my husband
I’ve admired luxury bags for my entire life - my mum had an amazing luxury wardrobe that I would spend hours trying on. But I’ve only just now been able to start investing in my own pieces.

My first purchase was my Gucci horsebit cross body bag that I was gifted for my birthday this year from my husband. And I’ve worn it almost everyday since, love love love this bag.

I’ve always wanted a Louis Vuitton Neverfull and I’m just a sucker for LV in general. I either choose a small cross body bag, or a large tote style bag, don’t really have any in between. So I knew my next purchase would be something similar. I don’t know why I could never pull the pin on a Neverfull, something about it didn’t seem special enough for me. So I started searching for something a little different, but still a similar size bag. I’ve been searching my favourite luxury resellers for months, and recently came across this absolute beauty - Louis Vuitton Long Beach in Vernis Amarante. In near perfect condition! I sat on it for a few days and my hubby said go for it - surely I deserve something nice for all the chemo I’ve been pumping through my veins 😭😂

Anyways the bag arrived today, the condition is even better than I thought it would be. The only slight markings are on the feet of the bag, other than that it’s perfect! And I am in love. Can’t wait to wear this new girl around 😭❤️
