2019. I was up at 2 am finishing a Marshmellow themed order and I had this song on repeat. It was that exact moment I made up my mind I was moving back to Miami. I had just peaked, had a successful market season, 2 phones ringing nonstop with orders, a REAL HOT GIRL. With the popularity comes the vultures. I was getting into altercations, pulling up to jobs looking for you if you had something to say. Where shawty at???!! Oh she left for the day?? Oh alright. (I’m really about that don’t play with me and my business). Sometimes you gotta up the score on em!!!! I made a list in my notebook 1. Pay the last month of rent. 2. Find a job. (My homegirl was HR in Miami, easy money 🤙🏾) 3. Get an oil change! I left 2 weeks later with my car packed with my 6qt kitchen aid mixer and whatever else could fit in the backseat. I would go on to learn French and Italian pastry and work with some of the most respected chefs in the industry. I moved back to the DMV a couple years later and my clientele was still waiting on me with that same love ❤️ half of yall didn’t know I was back until year 2-3 years after. ICONIC.
