We’re still buzzing from an exciting morning at Dodo Farms! Our farm was featured on FOX 45 Baltimore as part of their Hometown Hotspot, giving us the opportunity to showcase what makes Dodo Farms special — from our fields and fresh produce to our farm animals and the story behind what we do. 🌱

It was such a great experience welcoming the FOX 45 team to the farm and sharing a little piece of Dodo Farms with viewers across Baltimore and beyond.

And yes… we had to put the farm animals on camera too! 😂

From chickens roaming around the farm to the daily routines that keep them happy and healthy, there’s never a dull moment when the flock is around.

Just another part of the farm experience — fresh food, animals, fields, and plenty of life happening all around us.

Dodo Farms is a Certified Naturally Grown produce farm located in Mount Airy, Howard County, Maryland. The farm was founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife team Tope Fajingbesi and Olaniyi (Niyi) Balogun. Before moving to the United States, Niyi farmed over 100 hectares of land in southwestern Nigeria for more than 12 years.

Dodo Farms has participated in DC-area farmers' markets since 2018, including the Dupont Circle and Downtown Silver Spring FRESHFARM markets, which the farm still attends today. Over the years, the farm has expanded both in acreage and in the variety of crops grown, including kale, collards, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, potatoes, herbs, berries, and culturally relevant specialty crops.

Beyond growing food, Dodo Farms is committed to community education, food access, CSA programming, volunteer engagement, and reconnecting people to sustainable agriculture and local food systems.
