Big Desert dingoes, or Wilkerr as they are known to the Wotjobaluk Nations People, aren't your average dingo - they're genetically distinct and with only about 40 left in the wild.
You won't find them anywhere else in the world, except within the Big Desert/Wyperfeld/Ngarkat complex, with no known Big Desert dingoes in captivity or breeding programs.
They play a vital role in the ecosystem, but it's frustrating to continually see myths and misinformation about dingoes being spread, especially in the media. They are not just a farm issue, they are a vanishing piece of Australia's unique native wildlife.
