As the weather in London hits 25 degrees (that’s 77 for my American friends!), you can’t help but get the itch for summertime. That’s where Pan Bagnat comes into the picture. Provençal in origin, you’d be pretty hard pressed to find a more perfect picnic/beach/lounge and drink Rosé meal. Toasted bread drenched in olive oil and balsamic, roasted peppers, red onion, capers, soft boiled egg, and dealer’s choice of tinned fish (I reach for Cantabrian anchovies, myself!). Wrap it up tidy, throw it in the rucksack, and grab the bottle of Tavel at the last second? You’re smiling for the rest of the day!
