Our Icelandic Cod is fished on day boats, meaning the boats go out, catch, and return on the same day. No long trips. No fish sitting around at sea. And most importantly: no freezing on the boat.

When you freeze fish at sea, you have to thaw them when you get to land so they can be processed…and frozen again! This double freezing results in poor texture - what most people describe as mushy or stringy.

Bringing fresh fish back to shore on day boats prevents double freezing, ensuring the texture of the fish remains firm and flaky. 🤌🤌🤌
