Fresh homemade yogurt 😍. Just look at the beautiful yellow cream top! I will definitely be making lots of this, Our household loves making smoothies and they are sooo much better with yogurt! Next I’m going to try making mozzarella soon🤞

Well we came home to a big surprise last night! Oakley had her calf yesterday! Right after we left for the afternoon, We didn’t get back till later last night and when we got here there was a baby! She had a beautiful little heifer calf 💕. She is a purebred Angus. She is so sweet and already spunky 😅. Now to decide on a name!

Oakley is due the end of this month! I definitely can’t wait to get the fresh milk after not having it the last few months. We are hoping it’s a bull calf but we won’t know until she has it, anyone want to guess what she’s having? I’ve definitely enjoyed the little break from milking and I’m sure she has too but I can’t wait to get it back into the routine 💖

We have some dried mullien leaf jars available!
There are 6 packed wide mouth pints available ( at the moment ) $12 each. And we have 4 smaller jars $8 each. Mullien has become a herb that I always want on hand, great for any respiratory problems especially in those colder months. We should have lots all year as I dry it!

One of our farm dogs, Chief, got into a porcupine last night. No farm vets available and or taking new patients, so thankfully a friend is just a phone call away. With her help and expertise, 3 of us held him down while she pulled. If anyone knows the breed of Anatolian shepherds they will understand, they are not the "normal" dog. They are livestock guardians and they will protect their people and their livestock even if it means death for them. They are incredibly strong and agile as well. With us holding him down he could still move, I gave him some meds to calm him down and it finally kicked in enough so she could get them out. If you have a farm, get to know people, it literally takes a village to make things work sometimes. And with the government regulations on meds for farmers it has made our lives harder owning farm animals. We can't just go get a med if one is sick. If you don't have a vet or can't find one willing to take on new patients then you're out of luck. And around here they are far and in between. A lot of farmers have equipment to help in certain situations and this is one of them. Thankful for the help today, he's out sleeping for now he had a rough night and morning.
