Manlys first daughters freshened this year as milking yearlings, and we are really pleased with the improvements in attachment and shape of mammaries. His kids typically just have this ‘look’. Elegant necks, long, level, wide throughout, and beautiful escutcheons.. all on very correct feet and legs 😄

Maybe it’s time to have him collected 🤔

Yesterday we attended the SCTGC Memorial Classic. No ribbons, but 6 class winners. I'll do individual placings, starting with:

WH Dairy KL Spotacular
Junior kid- 0-3 months

1st under Cameron Jodlowski and Robin Saum

Spotsy was commended for her strength, width, levelness over the topline, and strength of front end. Although GCH and BIS went to some of the older kids, we are pretty pleased with her :D

We have begun clipping for 2024, with hopes we can have the whole herd done before summer 🥲 I was able to knock out 7 does yesterday, one being:

Swissie! I was truly so surprised when I had clipped Swissie to see just how elegant she truly is. Swissie is a daughter of *B Leisure Time IMust HaveThatMan, and our eldest daughter from him at that. She has her paternal granddam's long, elegant neck, dished feminine face and width between the hocks. Swissie is a dry yearling for 2024 and hopefully will be on the show string this year :D

The Nigerian FF are really killing it this year!

This is Leisure Time PP Carmen Electra- a 2yo FF. Carmen has never been a very friendly doe, but you can really admire her level topline and long, level rump when she runs away from you 🤪. Carmen had twin bucks this year so we are really hoping for some does next year!!
