Deal of the day ! If you’re considering showing a herford gilt here is your chance. We had plans of keeping this one for our kids to show but have decided we have enough for them but don’t want to let this breeding stock go. So we are going to offer her up as a lease gilt for the summer. She is a rub it in x transformer the mother of this one was champion herford gilt at daviess county in 2023 and has raised a lot of class winners in the past. Theses 3 are the last cross gilts of the winter farrowing available. They are black balled x red 7 sow . If your looking to play in the light cross division this year look in to theses girls. They may be on the green side but let me tell you I think some time on the feed bucket they will be a lot of fun this summer.

With the weather warming up we have decided to open the barn up for pig viewing tomorrow Saturday 2/1 for our early December berk litter and herfords . Extremely happy with this first time mommy. Fed her at 430 with zero signs of labor and went to a high school basketball game to come home 3 1/2 hours later to find her with 8 piglets at her side all doing great! This sow has been a rock star from the moment we laid eyes on her.
And yes we do like our rub it in herfords around here.

We welcomed another litter of herfords last night . Using jungle cat on this dullth sow turned out to be a great combo. This sow known as Val was my daughter show gilt from 2024 that won many top 3s at jackpots and was champion herford at daviess county. If you thinking about herfords for 25 show season keep us in mind.
