This is the regular salad bar that all of our animals have access to! It is so fun to watch which plants they favor in what order and during which seasons.

In this particular clip, my half of the “garden” had turned back in to pasture and was in desperate need of a mow… so I moved the cows in.

Our Egg CSA is your answer to always knowing you have delicious, nutritious eggs in your fridge - that really were produced the way you want them to be, from hens given soy- free, certified organic feed, living active lives in sunshine and fresh air, on frequently rotated pastures.

CSA membership spots are always limited. We have a large, young flock this year and so for the first time in a long time, we will have more spaces available.

Right now, our current members are renewing their places (some for the fifth year in a row!).

Beginning at 8:15am on Friday, May 15th, remaining places will be made available.

Joining the Egg CSA means
- you save, up to $48/year
- you lock in your price
- you get first dibs: Eggs reserved for you, before any are made available for à la cart sale
- you know exactly when you get your eggs each month
- you hold a special place in our hearts. We love knowing exactly for whom we are working as hard as we do. Selling CSA shares in the spring like this also helps with cash flow during a season that can be very, very tough. This helps keep sustainable so we can stick around.

Details always go first to our email newsletter. Sign up at link in bio.

A little peek behind the scenes 👀 if you ever wonder why my videography is so bumpy… Some version of this is usually why 🫠

Happy lines! The predominant theory is that it is a special type of fatty acid showing up under the skin. Regardless of what the lines actually are, everyone agrees they are a sign of well-nourished, happy cows.

Do you eat offal? Have you wanted to try? This order is for a customer who is a seasoned professional - we have other products for folks who are a little more timid about getting started. One is our ground beef organ blend, 10% of which is beef heart and liver. The overwhelming feedback on this is that family didn’t know there were organs in the dish AND everyone made comments about it being extra delicious. Another favorite is our uncured bacon and onion liverwurst, which you use like a pate, spread on toast, crackers, or apples or veggie slices (or, like some customers do, eaten with a spoon!)

Our laying hens are offered a certified organic, soy free feed in addition to all of the grass and grubs they can forage. Many times of the year this means scooping and hauling up to twenty 5 gallon (30lb) buckets at a time to fill the hopper. In this current season, though, we are scooping right from the tote into the hopper. This is so much easier! We usually do it on days we are moving the coop anyway— when the tractor will already be out in the hen paddock—and before the coop doors open. I was a little late getting to them today. However, we were able to adjust the hens’ fence so the tractor could stay outside of it and still get close enough to scoop. That works too!
