Our 2026 Photo Days are now open for online booking!

With our acres of beautiful outdoor scenery—including our Christmas tree fields, historic 1850s log cabin, lake, and wooded areas—HVTF makes the perfect backdrop for holiday, engagement, maternity, or family photos for your clients.

🚨PLEASE NOTE: 2026 photography bookings are available October 31 - November 13 only. Sessions are NOT permitted during our operating Christmas tree season.

All sessions must be booked online and are first-come, first served.

With abundant opportunities for beautiful photos and gorgeous nature shots around every bend, it's not surprising that St. Louis area photographers and their clients have come to love photo sessions at our Christmas tree farm.

🌟THE WORD IS OUT!🌟
NEW for 2026, reservations will be required to choose and cut a Christmas tree on Friday, November 27. Saturdays and Sundays will not require a reservation.

This is a big change for you and our entire farm family. The Friday after Thanksgiving has become our busiest day of the season. Reservations will help us better manage parking, crowds, staffing, and tree availability so all have the best experience possible.

Please pass along the word. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is sharing widely for all to hear!😉

Talk about a tree-rific time! 🌲✨ Huge thanks to Starr Pines for hosting the Missouri Christmas Tree Association’s annual summer meeting. We had an outstanding time at your beautiful farm in Boonville, MO. We appreciate you opening your farm to us, sharing your family’s story, and teaching fellow growers the tips and techniques that go into growing beautiful Christmas trees. Together, we're growing Christmas cheer! 🎄

God Bless America... Land that I Love!

As our country celebrates its big birthday, we have big news for the upcoming 2026 Christmas season: RESERVATIONS will be required to choose and cut a Christmas tree on FRIDAY, NOV. 27 (see, we told you it was big 😮). Saturday and Sunday will remain first come, first served—no reservation needed.

HISTORICAL FARM FIND! Spring rains settled the soil in a newly planted field of Christmas trees, uncovering this small piece of the past. This arrowhead (not the dime, lol) was found resting on the bare ground between the young trees — a quiet reminder that the land holds stories far older than the Christmas trees growing there today.

Ah, April—’tis the season for sneezes, sniffles, and Christmas tree planting! 🌱

Our tradition of planting Christmas trees each spring continues, and we got it done just in time for Earth Day! 🌎 These little fir trees will be full-grown and ready to shine in your living room by Christmas 2032! 🎄
