So…what exactly is First Day Friday? It’s our fun farm name for the Friday after Thanksgiving — aka the first day of our Christmas tree season! And because it’s also our busiest day of the year, reservations help ease parking concerns, keep lines shorter, ensure adequate staffing, and create a great experience for everyone!

Planning to pick out your Christmas tree on Friday, November 27? You’ll need a reservation!

✨ A few things to know:
- Reservations go live October 15 at 7PM
- Book your reservation online via our website
- One reservation per tree
- $5 per reservation
- No reservations are needed Saturday or Sunday

Our 2026 Photo Days are now open for online booking!

With our acres of beautiful outdoor scenery—including our Christmas tree fields, historic 1850s log cabin, lake, and wooded areas—HVTF makes the perfect backdrop for holiday, engagement, maternity, or family photos for your clients.

🚨PLEASE NOTE: 2026 photography bookings are available October 31 - November 13 only. Sessions are NOT permitted during our operating Christmas tree season.

All sessions must be booked online and are first-come, first served.

🌟THE WORD IS OUT!🌟
NEW for 2026, reservations will be required to choose and cut a Christmas tree on Friday, November 27. Saturdays and Sundays will not require a reservation.

This is a big change for you and our entire farm family. The Friday after Thanksgiving has become our busiest day of the season. Reservations will help us better manage parking, crowds, staffing, and tree availability so all have the best experience possible.

Talk about a tree-rific time! 🌲✨ Huge thanks to Starr Pines for hosting the Missouri Christmas Tree Association’s annual summer meeting. We had an outstanding time at your beautiful farm in Boonville, MO. We appreciate you opening your farm to us, sharing your family’s story, and teaching fellow growers the tips and techniques that go into growing beautiful Christmas trees. Together, we're growing Christmas cheer! 🎄

God Bless America... Land that I Love!

As our country celebrates its big birthday, we have big news for the upcoming 2026 Christmas season: RESERVATIONS will be required to choose and cut a Christmas tree on FRIDAY, NOV. 27 (see, we told you it was big 😮). Saturday and Sunday will remain first come, first served—no reservation needed.
