At Elm Brook we offer a unique combination of past and present. Maureen Ferris, manager and trainer, combines her years of experiance in the saddle and out of it to offer an all around evaluation of horse and rider. From 1977 to 1984, Maureen ran Elm Brook Farm – an 80 horse facility - in Concord, Massachusetts. The 40 boarders and 40 school horses and ponies gave her a great background in the dif

fering personalities of both riders and horses and a true appreciation of the many different paths riders take to their goals. At Elm Brook, Maureen also hosted two yearly recognized horse trials for the organization then called USCTA (now USEA). Maureen moved to Pennsylvania in 1985 and continued to work with riders in the area as she and her husband, Bruce, began raising their two children. In 1995, Maureen returned to teaching full time. Today, she bases her work at a reincarnated Elm Brook Farm located in Washington, New Jersey. Maureen travels throughout the Lehigh Valley and New Jersey areas continuing to work at finding the right path for individual riders to partner with their horses. Most of Maureen’s students compete in the dressage and eventing arenas but she is happy to assist any rider.
