We’re getting ready to put bucks in with another group of does so I got a A few pics of our kiko bucks from TNT farms, all of them are yearlings or 2 year olds. A couple of the 2 year olds will be for sale this summer.

Thank God it’s been nice enough for the girls to get out in the barn again! As Josie would say “WOO! That fresh hair feels GOO-OO-OOD!”

It’s almost breeding season! We like to feed grain to our bucks 1-2 times a week all year round to keep them tame, used to us and used to going in to the chute. When we are about a month out from breeding we feed the boys 3-4 times a week so it’s just routine for them to see us and walk right in there. This makes them super easy to catch and load on the trailer to take out to our doe pasture when the time comes.

Livestock guardian dogs. We love our furry four legged protectors! From coyotes to wild dogs these guys keep our goats safe! In the winter and early spring when predators are hungry they get in to some gnarly scuffles, all to protect the goats. We put them in with the herd when they’re young and it’s just instinct for them to keep everyone safe!

🤔Did you know they will help clean up afterbirth, and still born babies(yes they know the difference between living and dead babies 🤯) so there’s nothing to attract predators, and they won’t let prey birds land near the goats because prey birds are a sign for predators that there’s something for them to eat?
