It was a tough cold winter for our girls! We lost one hive by February, probably not enough bees born in the fall to keep them warm through winter. Another hive was so big it produced a large amount of condensation, causing freezing and the queen died. We made it through with 2 healthy hives, so we did some splits and now are back with 4 hives, all looking good.

We are also grooming a nuc which will be ready for sale in a couple of weeks. If you're interested in a nuc, please message me. We are in Washington Twp, $190.

Sold out of the new Serrano & Jalapeno hot honey last week, it was a hit! We have both varieties available Saturday.

We'll be at the Shelby Farmers Market this Saturday, August 30 with all our sweet raw honey from organically raised bees. We have 12 oz, 16 oz, and 2 lb sizes of raw honey.

Also, specialty honey, creamed honey (lovely for spreading), lemon infused raw and creamed, and creamed Chai. We'll also be introducing our new serrano and jalapeno infused hot honey, very nice pepper flavor and heat level. Red chili pepper hot honey will still be available too.

Joyful Bees will be at the Shelby Farmers Market this Saturday, August 9, 9am-2pm. Come and check out our lovely raw honey from chemical free hives, in 12 oz, 16 oz, and 2 lb sizes. We have also been busy creating specialty raw honeys, Creamed Chai (yum, in your tea!), Creamed raw, Creamed Lemon infused, raw Lemon Infused, and Hot Honey!! None of the specialty honeys are heated.

As usual, the honey hut is also stocked with raw honey. If you would like a specialty honey, please message us and we'll make arrangements for a pickup.
