ps with state food pantries and cooperatively work with regional & international initiatives geared to providing true access to healthful/vital & fresh food, across all socioeconomic classifications. The Farm currently consists of 20 (creek boarded) acres - 4 of which are committed to fulfilling the CSA member food shares.
2013 is our first year stewarding this particular piece of land. The intention is to
sustainably, nurture The Land & develop a sustainable Farm Enterprise. The first year's farm focus -
• Infrastructure development - fencing, green houses, water system etc...
• Develop involved, core membership base
• Landscaping
• Amending the soil - preparing bed rotations
• Acclimating to the location and it's habits
• Plant tree fruit / herbs / bulbs
The Aviary Family Farm CSA is structured as :
CSA members will expect to receive weekly deliveries. (beginning the second week in June)
Each box will contain 10 - 12 (unless otherwise agreed upon) seasonal items. Weekly newsletters will keep members Informed of the present weeks contents as well as the expected harvest for the week to come.
