It’s been a busy summer so far here in SoDak! We have been getting some nice little shots of rain that are keeping things green, and we’ve spent a lot of time in the hay field! The clover is sure going to make some growth on wildlife for the year!

We had a few fossil hunters here for collecting trips! If you’ve ever wanted to come hunt some fossils, please reach out! You don’t even have to be able to shoot straight on those ones!

For those of you who don’t know, we are going to start branching out and adding pheasants hunts to our business as well! We are currently opening the books for fall pheasant hunters, so if you are interested in coming to see us this fall and didn’t have another hunt booked or didn’t draw a tag, please get in contact with us!

We ended out our turkey season with a busy weekend! When May hits, ranch life is non stop, but these guys got some turkeys amid the chaos! Travis and Landon each got birds and the weather held out just long enough that they had time to also take in a branding and watch us work and haul yearlings to summer pasture!

Chris and Larry had a lot of birds come in with Micks calling, and went 4 for 4 even with difficult weather. They only got to hunt about half of the time due to rain and even then had to struggle with mud and obviously soaked birds! When the sun came out, the birds came in hard though!

The second group of GA turkey hunters went 10 for 12 on turkeys! With the wind and the rain it is sometimes difficult to find great times to hunt, but they did pretty good!
Chad and Caleb made some father son memories for Caleb’s first Merriam. John, Stacey, and Brian all got their first Merriams as well and completed the Grand Slam. And Mary had to come along to show the guys how to hunt! 🤣

Our website has had some great updates going on today! Thank you to Tyler Haddix for the website work!

The 2023 pictures (every deer that I got a picture of) has been posted and we are preparing to go to the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo in SLC in a couple weeks! Then it won't be long until turkey season is here and in the mean time, the guys continue to work on predator control!
