Finally, for the most recent update and in the near future I would really like to use this page for all things farm related rather than my personal. lol we will see. Finally a little life update.

I started doing this because I thought there was a true earning potential, I’m not saying there isn’t, there definitely is.

Fortunately, I’ve realized the money isn’t what I care about anyways. I met so many people, I watched kids do their first Easter egg hunts, their first strawberry picks. I had people come help me when I needed the help, I met the crochet mafia, I beat fire ants off a kids leg, yea that wasn’t fun we both learned a lesson that day about fire ants. I cut grass at 130am after wine night. Just…… 😮‍💨 so much more I could say. I fell in love with the people and the community. It gave me purpose. The money never mattered and never will compared to seeing strangers treat each other like family. I do want to quit my job someday though, yall don’t be playing with me.

I cant get too long winded, this is the farm page after all.

I want to say thank you everyone. It’s been a wonderful experience so far 🧑🏻‍🌾

If you haven’t seen me in a while, I’ve changed a good bit, so here’s me. Full of it, with a little less hair 😂 and looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Blueberries are still coming in! Idk if we are going to open a upick for them this year, there just doesn’t seem to be enough ready for more than a handful of people at a time right now. I’ll probably have a couple private picks. Blueberries are still growing! They are still going to get bigger and produce more next year! We are ready for them.

We ran a successful nursery program, well a prolonged program thanks to the ice storms, still though, quite successful. We will be adding a nursery to the farm after proving to myself I can do it. I’m excited to say we will also be having multiple products such as goat milk soap, jams…. lol let’s not get into the products just yet. 😂

We were able to give away somewhere around 800 to 900 tomato and pepper plants. Some people payed for them and thank you for that. I’ve been getting some updates on my wayward tomato children and they are looking fine!

We actually hosted an Easter egg hunt 😂, I’m laughing because…. I had no idea about how serious these things were.

I asked the community who would like to attend and within like an hour, I had 50 plus comments, fiddy’leven messages…. 😮‍💨. So I did what any sane person would do. I bought 10000 Easter eggs 😂

I spent 2 weeks closing eggs, with the good candy…. Yea I know some where tootsie rolls too, I didn’t want it to be like that but candy is expensive children! 😂 all I know is know one was talkin crap about my Easter egg hunt in first period that following Monday.

We are definitely doing it again next year!

I really wish I had taken more time to get photos with everyone that came out to the farm. I had such a good time meeting so many different people and being able to experience what it’s like to have people in the fields. I learned quite a bit, we are out of the experimenting phase as of last April. The strawberries by many accounts, were excellent!

First and certainly the biggest deal, we have moved locations to another piece of land in town! Very exciting!

Currently we are prepping for a potential 4th of July celebration for shooting off some of them big loud junts.

This October we are bumping up from 3k strawberry plants to 15k to 20k.

The land is getting worked and I fully expect to have the bones of it completed by next spring, in time for the first true to the public open Upick.

I thought I was going to have to remake my page and have left it alone for quite awhile. Turns out you don’t have to delete your page to prove you aren’t from Kenya 😂

Anyways I’m going to do a photo dump of just everything from the last 6 months. So some post are coming!

I’ve had so many good things go right for the farm in the last six months. Lemme just get organizedish, here we go!

We had our first real farm tour today, it was full of good conversation and I certainly felt optimistic about the future of the American youth.

Meet Evelyn! Evelyn is a young entrepreneur I met at a farmers market. She was selling crochet items and she just happened to have a strawberry. Of course I had to have 100 of them as soon as possible 😂. Not only did Evelyn accomplish the task, she accomplished it in break neck speed in order to have them ready for the “Educational Grow Day”. I certainly look forward to doing more business with her in the future. Thank you Evelyn! Also here her mother and brothers, Michelle, Jacob and Benjamin. All very nice wonderful people.

It is important that we support young people who aspire to create. It is important that we spend our money not always where we get the greatest deal but rather the best value. We will support Evelyn and the youth like her, any chance we get.

Also, idk if you know this but everyone needs a pair of Squirrel oven mitts. Yes squirrel oven mitts, I know! Its nuts! Reach out if you want to be hooked up with an assortment of forest creatures to help you in the kitchen.

What a time to be alive ☺️
