These two will be looking for a new home after they are weaned in June. Both will be AHCA registered. Both are sired (AI) by CBS No Excuses, Ruby’s dam is Castlelyons Emma, and Remy’s is Castlelyons Lucy. Both are great to work with and like to be brushed. We’ve started some halter training.

It always amazes me how the cows know what minerals their bodies need. Our free choice mineral program offers them a choice of 20 minerals. As you can see little 3 month old Ruby knows she needs some phosphorus, Emma come as in for a little calcium, and Kara then wants potassium. I think a big part of our breeding success is due to our mineral program.

This is Kara, our Matriarch and Alpha on the farm. She is now almost 10 years old, and was one of our original heifers. She is always in charge, but always gentle, with me and the fold, especially the youngsters, and sets the tone. She’s never been able to carry a pregnancy to term, but we wouldn’t want to be without her leadership.

We need to reduce the size of our herd and have a red cow and her calf that need to find a new home. The cow is SFF Krazy for Katnip, we call her Kat, AHCA Reg # 55667, dob 3/2/16. She comes from a great breeder, and has excellent bloodlines. She has had 5 calves for us, all unassisted, and she is a great mother. She is mild mannered, loves treats and to be brushed, is comfortable on a halter (although we don’t use it much), and has good confirmation. Her calf is Castlelyons Natalie, dob 12/3/24, a sweet, easy going heifer, also with excellent bloodlines. Her sire is CBS No Excuses, AHCA Reg # 59493. We have just started halter training, and she will be registered. Please PM if interested.
