Exciting news and closure from April’s Famous Bakes 📣

Today, I won’t be at the Oakland County Farmers Market because I’ll be spending the day celebrating something very close to my heart — the launch of a new initiative called HOPE TO TABLE COLLECTIVE (HTTC)
While I hate missing a market day, I’m incredibly excited to invite you to join me at the Hope Open House on June 4 & 5 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

💙 What is Hope to Table Collective?

Hope to Table Collective is a new program powered through Oakland HOPE that focuses on addressing both food insecurity and food waste in Oakland County in conjunction with the already powerful empact the food pantry makes,Oakland Hope feeds about 16,000 Oakland County residents PER MONTH who are food vulnerable . Our mission adds another layer of addressing access our goal at HTTC is simple: rescue excess ingredients and transform them into quality chef driven, ready-to-eat meals that are distributed back into our community with dignity and care.

This project has been a true labor of love, and I’m honored to be co- founder alongside Chef Reniel Billups and embraced by Norma at Oakland HOPE.

When you attend the Open House, you’ll have the opportunity to:

❤️Learn about the incredible work Oakland HOPE is doing throughout our community.

❤️Meet Chef Reniel and me and hear about the vision behind Hope to Table Collective.

❤️See how rescued food can become meaningful meals for our neighbors.

❤️Watch muralist Zach Curtis create another beautiful mural on the Oakland HOPE building — the second mural he has completed for the organization!

Most importantly, you’ll get to see firsthand how collaboration, compassion, and creativity can help build a stronger Oakland County.

🎥 : Hand Pies are available all season at our farmers markets. They make the perfect grab and go breakfast along with a coffee. Or dress up for dessert and enjoy it warm with a scoop of ice cream.

I loved making this cake for a backyard wedding. The bride said it was just a simple wedding. I have noticed more and more that there is more beauty in simplicity. Some of the best weddings I’ve been to have been a “simple” backyard weddings where the bride and grooms personality shined through and through and everything was so much more personable.
I think more should embrace this kind of celebration. Happy wedding day Amanda!

My cup is full today, listening to speakers tell amazing stories of innovation and taking challenging moments of adversity and changing it into stories of strength turned into success. Has left me inspired. I hope that those who were able to attend left chest out ready to conquer the world. 🌎

Tedx is coming to Pontiac May1st. Guess what it’s not to late to be in attendance for the first TedXpontiac come enjoy hearing inspiring community leaders and innovators speak about their experience of being innovative through the face of adversity. More information is found on the website and we are excited to play a small part by catering some of the breakfast pastries and sandwiches.The event is held at the Flagstar Strand Theatre from 10-4pm come ready to be filled with inspiration. ❤️
